Gasol's 31-years old. By the time we're ready to really contend, he'll be past his prime. That 1st + Dieng + Bazz + Rubio is better used elsewhere, in my opinion.

My trade target is Nerlens Noel. I really think he's a defensive game-changer already and he's still just 21-years old. Throw him next to KAT and I believe you have a dynamic combo at PF/C where you could theoretically have one of them on the floor at all times, which is quite the luxury. I'd play Nerlens at PF on defense to utilize his perimeter gifts and weak side shot-blocking, and then on offense he'd play the Tyson Chandler/DeAndre Jordan role. Screen and roll, screen and roll, screen and roll, crash the glass, crash the glass, crash the glass.

He's long as hell and has elite agility for a big. He's also really nice in transition, which fits well with what we already have. I think I might rather have him over Dunn actually. He's more proven and would fill a hole immediately.

You can afford to take the risk on Dunn if you can get Noel in the paint . What ever Dunn potentially lacks defensively on the perimeter would be made up for by having two athletic bigs down low. I know I'm in the minority here but Rickys d doesn't blow me away. He's got quick hands and rebounds well but he still loses his match up on most nights , and I put a bigger priority on front court D than back court anyways

As far as offensively I don't think it would take much to improve on Rickys play . I certainly would like to see a player that can take his man off the dribble and create his own shot.( Especially in the 4th quarter ) That would also open up shots for everyone else .

I actually like that he's a little older as well. I think it helped guys like Duncan and draymond with their maturation process both physically and mentally. If he's good enough to be here for the next 10 years that's good enough for me and that would put him at what, 32?

I dig Noel defensively. But this year, he's been much better in a more traditional 5 role than guarding 4s.

Long athletes, capable of shooting and defending. They've given up on MCW and KJ McDaniels recently because they could not shoot. Well, Bazz isn't supremely gifted athletically, and neither is Dieng (who is not a 1-3 either). Shabazz is a decent shooter, with promise, but he cannot defend. Dieng is older, isn't a plus defender, nor a plus offensive player. He is the perfect big off the bench (Noel is better). There are three players on the T-Wolves that fit the Philly idea ... KAT, Wiggins, and LaVine. I am not willing to give up any of them to acquire Noel. If Shabazz and Dieng get the deal done, then you do it. If either Shabazz or Dieng, KMart (as an expiring trade coin), and 2 2nd round draft picks, or a very future first get the deal done, then you do it.

We have finally accumulated top talent. We don't change potential two-way top talent for other potential top talent (especially when as one sided in a game as Noel is). You trade top potential two-way talent for proven top talent. Even after we have seen these guys for .5-1.5 years we have to remember that LaVine can potentially play the 1 and 2. Wiggins can potentially play the 2 and 3. Towns can potentially play the 4 and 5. All 3 of these guys are potential 2 way talents. That gives this team TONS of flexibility. Let's not give it away.
