Apparently he said something like, "If you think G can guard Teletovic, then you can have my job."

What his dumbass forgot was that Towns guarded him a lot in the first half while Dieng guarded Chandler/Len and we were more than fine. He decided to stay small and we got bent over for it. This might be my biggest problem with Sam. Even when his coaching decisions are glaringly bad, he still manages to point the finger everywhere else but himself. That's not leadership. That's a coward.

This loss is on sam. He should be fired after the season. Dieng can defend Mirza. Mirza is a stretch 4 but he isn't fast or athletic that he can take you off the dribble. We lost on the glass.

Sam was stubborn. He probably knew he screwed up by going small yet he didn't want to admit it and gambled that we could pull tru. He blew it.

It was funny when he froze for a brief second when a reporter basically asked him what he was thinking going small while getting dominated on the boards.

Tough loss. But have to applaud Tele for hitting that shot - fade away 3 with KAT in his face.

Difference was coaching and bench performances.

Suns bench: 37pts on 14 of 30

Wolves bench: 12pts on 6 of 23

Zach has been flat out good for most of his time since being the starting 2. Dieng has played really well at the 4 and become a not terrible option to start next to Towns if we can't bring in a starting caliber big this summer. Tyus should have been backing Ricky up since day 1 and who knows where he'd be by now. He's getting better by the week managing games and hitting shots. We wasted so much time on Martin, Prince and the Zach Lavine PG experiment.

The worst part most Wolves fans knew this from the start, but the highly paid "pros" couldn't figure it out.

Now players have to make plays like towns missed 2 fts down the stretch, a missed jumper and a bunny at the rim, shabazz was bad but it is just frustrating to watch sam not give us the best chance to win.

I think it is funny that sam says you actually think G could guard tele, but just one game ago thunder played Durant at the 4 and the wolves won. I don't think I am going out on a limb when I say Durant is better than tele

Exhibit A, B, C and D on why the Wolves lost tonight.

G played 1:15 in 4Q, Sam "We tried to put our best people on Teletovic so unless you think G can guard Teletovic, you can have my job."

An interesting side point to this is that it also looks as though Shabazz has really fallen behind the core group. I don't know if Bazz has just still not had the opportunity like Dieng and Lavine, or if he's failed to his chances, but it seems that he just doesn't fit with us at the moment. Perhaps he would have found his niche better if given chances sooner, or perhaps we would have traded him at the deadline for a better fitting asset. But again, the criticism from this board a few months ago is that we still just didn't know what we had with Shabazz.

Meh. Fifteen games left. Now is not the time to get "out tanked". Sam did a great job :-).

#1 - Philly. 9 wins and 1-9 in last ten.
#2 - Lakers. 14 wins and 3-7 in last ten.
#3 - Suns. 18 wins and 4-6 in last ten.
#4 - Nets. 18 wins and 3-7 in last ten.
#5 - Wolves. 21 wins and 3-7 in last ten
#6 - Pelicans. 24 wins and 2-8 in last ten.
#7 - Kings. 25 wins and 1-9 in last ten.

The Kings are making a big push for more lotto balls. We need to do the same. Let's lose the next 15 and see if we can get the #3 seed!

Normally I'm with you and can accept focussing on 'the bigger picture', but I reckon we have our core in place. I want to see that develop. Besides, I seem to recall that the oracle Cool has guaranteed we move up to the top 3 this year.
