Well you have to hand it to the Wolves. We kept them under 100.

Were not making the playoffs.

There is no way. The reason we don't win close games is simple. We don't defend. We don't care about defense. Our defensive efficiency means nothing when the game is close because we don't believe in stopping the other team. Even when we get points in the 4th is it always negated.

You are only embarrassed now? Clearly you are a newer Wolves fan. Our identity is being able to deal with embarrassment.

Dumbest coached game ever. I've been with Adelman all the way, but tonight he lost my faith. Beyond stupid.

I remember freaking out when Gary Anderson missed the gimmie field goal, and that wasn't my first Minnesota disappointment. All he told me was "you'll get used to it eventually" that is all I can offer you. :-)

Sometimes, it SEEMS like these guys have tuned out.

Tonight was one of those nights for Love. Very poor effort/showing. Things can still get worse... if Love continues with that kind of effort, the Wolves will barely beat last year's win total. Maybe.

If the Clippers somehow win the NBA title... do the Wolves jump past them for the worst NBA franchise?

I didn't think any franchise could catch the Clippers for futility... maybe I was just being a provincial rube.

You are correct. That's why I've never liked the Martin contract. Hard to find a taker for a 31 year old, soft, one-dimensional spot-up shooter with three years left on a guaranteed contract at $7.5 million per year. If we're lucky, maybe a contending team near the Feb. deadline will see Martin as filling a critical perimeter shooting need that could make a big difference down the stretch so much so that the team will be willing to give up good value to take on his long-term contract.

I'm watching the Portland replay on my League Pass. Fun to watch a really good young team built by a front office that knows what it's doing. At least Kahn TRIED to get Batum. :). Great three-year run Mr. Kahn. We may not be breathtakingly fast as you had planned, but we are breathtakingly bad.

By the way, did anyone read Flip's comment the other day attributing our losing ways in part on our youth? Has Flip looked at our roster lately? Let's see -- in our starting lineup we have the 25 year old Love in his 6th season, the 28 year old Pekovic in his 4th NBA season after years of pro ball in Europe, the 27 year old Brewer in his 7th season, the 31 year old Martin in his 10th season, and the 23 year old Rubio who's been playing pro ball since age 14. Then we have our bench made up of the 29 year old Barea, the 26 year old Dante in his 6th season, the 25 year old Budinger, the 25 year old Shved and the 31 year old Turiaf. Then there is the 27 year old Price. Sorry Flip, but age has absolutely no place as part of any explanation for the Wolves woes this season. Just another example of Flip's penetrating insight. And this is the guy who will lead the rebuilding process. Wow. But he does love Minnesota and the local sports media pundits love him.
