C'mon now. It was a quip about me and my relationship with my gal pal. She's not a basketball fan. In fact, up to a year or so ago, she would walk into a room while a game was on and ask "Is Wally playing?"
So to watch more basketball games than I already do instead of spending time with her would probably cause a problem in my relationship. Even if it didn't... it was a throwaway quip that was actually meant to be a bit self-deprecating.
To be honest, I don't give a shit about your life to comment on it. No offense.
Non taken, I guess.
But it would be nice if you answered my question. I mean, how do you balance this rich full life AND be an Eric-Spoelstra-level tape junkie?
You're still trying too hard. Are you just flat-out trolling now?
When did I ever claim I lived a rich, full life? Or imply that your life was less fulfilling than mine?
Maybe you're an insecure cat or just deliberately fucking with me at this point. I don't know. And I don't really care.

Uh-oh. Not the oldie-but-goodie "Your a Troll" defense. I guess you're too busy with game film to come up with something new.
I have no idea whose life is more fulfilling, but I can tell you that I'm a "cat" who likes to post to a Wolves/NBA board without another "cat" constantly contradicting while using "evidence" that could only be learned through intense film study, but at the same time claiming he way too cool to be involved in such a thing.
Feel free to make up your mind which it will be any time now.

Re: One Reason for the Loss Tonight
It seems sort of silly to say that there is a single reason why we lost last night's game. If we would have done one of many things better, we would have won the game.

If Rubio could score, that probably would have won the game for us.

Martin had an off shooting night, a couple of made shots here or there for Martin, and we probably would have won the game.

If Love would have scored more than 2 points in crunch time, then we probably win.

If JJ has a normal turn over night instead of the 5 he had last night, then we probably win last night.

If ANYONE could have contained MArion last night,we problably would have won.

If our bench just played poorly instead of absolutely sucking balls, we probably would have won last night.

If Adelman puts Rubio back in the game 2 minutes earlier, then we probably win the game.
The list could go on and on.
Man, it sucked to lose that game!

What the hell are you guys talking about? I thought we were still arguing about if we could win with Ricky scoring 8.9 ppg.

Re: One Reason for the Loss Tonight
Dennis Rodman is considered to be one of the all time greats, and he only affected the game with his rebounding and defense. Rubio can rebound, pass, create turnovers, limit turnovers, he plays hard. We have 3 scorers in our starting rotation, Pek, Love, and Martin. Rubio doesn't need to score when he has them. I'll admit that I want him to score more(15 pt range would be perfect). But if anyone can improve his game its Ricky, and like others have said, he needs to forget about the spanish national team and focus on his offensive game. The reason we lost, and the reason we are under 500 is our bench, Portland had the same problem last year. We need to be active with trades, to try and improve our bench.

I apologize to everybody else who has had to endure this... but...
You're an asshole JasonIsDaMan. I don't remember calling anybody else that online before because trolling was part of the game on ESPN and other places. It is what it is and you learn to roll with it. That's one of the reasons I like this forum, I can get away from the nonsense and discuss basketball and dig deeper into intricacies of the game, which I enjoy doing.
But if you're not trolling, which you claim not to be... so be it. You're not trolling. You're just being an asshole then.
I never claimed to be "too cool" for anything. I never claimed to be better than you in any way. (except now... because I haven't been an asshole in this thread.) I have no idea where you came up with that.
Maybe you need to calm down and go reread whatever thread ruffled your feathers. Or, kudos for getting me to call you an asshole.
Either way. You're out of line. I know it. You know it. And anybody else who's read this insufferable exchange knows it.

I didn't know you could curse on here.
So the "asshole" who CONSTANTLY contradicts others with "facts" not in evidence calls it "getting away from the nonsense and discussing basketball and digging deeper into the intricacies of the game". Let me help you with that: DISCUSSING is not saying others are wrong and using evidence that would require research that, at the same time, you claim you are too busy/cool to do. DISCUSSING is offering what ACTUAL EVIDENCE you have. And if you ever decide to do that, I would be more than open.
You may have never claimed to be "better", but you claim to know more CONSTANTLY. And your basis for this is this alleged research that you deny if you feel the moment suits it.
Let me approach this from a different angle: You "insufferably" dispute the posts of others using information would one only get through witnessing play. And if you're not actually doing that because of a girlfriend or whatever reason you are not sharing, then where is it coming from?
You have a couple of choices here: You can answer my question, or you can stop responding. But make no mistake, everyone can read what you're saying, and they can see how you're avoiding the question, maybe because you know that answer doesn't paint you in the best light.

Re: One Reason for the Loss Tonight
SLOW DOWN... READ THIS SLOWLY SO YOU UNDERSTAND...REREAD IF NECESSARY...
For the umpteenth time:
1. I never said I didn't watch basketball. I never said I didn't watch A LOT of basketball. Try again.
2. I never said I didn't research every stat I've ever posted. Try again.
3. I never claimed I know more than everybody else. Try again.
4. We finally have our reason for your venom...
You're "butthurt" because I must have refuted something you said at some point or another. Dude... are you really upset that I use evidence to support my takes? Think about how stupid that reads. You'd rather me make random claims that have no factual basis? Really?
If you want to make superficial, reactionary takes... you better accept being refuted if they're myopic, silly, misguided or fucking stupid. I don't post maliciously. (until a little bit right now)
That's why I TRY to use tangible evidence to support my analysis or takes. I don't see how that's a bad thing. If that hurts your feelings, or you can't handle somebody else having a differing opinion... too fucking bad. Either grow a pair or learn more about the game.
There... that felt better.
[Note: Now maybe you can stop LYING about things I never wrote. I'll put up with a lot on a message board. But not people lying about things I never wrote. I'll call you out on it... which is what I'm doing here. Fair enough?]

Re: One Reason for the Loss Tonight
Abe, you need to let it go. Everyone on here has gone around-and-around with Jason either here or in our past lives on ESPN. This is his schtick....for whatever reason, he just likes to do this back and forth....over and over. Let him have his last word, and then we can start this again in the next thread.
Jason, I know that by writing this you will get all crazy and quote something about an obscure owner, or announcer, or something else, but please for the sake of the board, let it go. This is an amateur chatboard, where folks just come to chat about basketball. For the most part (probably 95%), the topics are opinions and feeling based. Nothing wrong with you pointing out an inaccuracy, but noone cares if Abe or anyone else misstates a fact. That's the nature of a public forum. The fact that Abe states he has seen enough to call Stephensen a solid defender (or whatever he said) really doesn't take watching a 100 games as you insinuate. I could watch 2-3 games with Rubio and tell you he can't shoot....as he may have done with Stephensen. I read it as a simple observation...which you have essentially now added like 5 additional comments to contradict. Why is it so important to you to get everyone to admit they are wrong? Who cares?
Later.

Oh. This is his thing.
Fair enough. I thought it was just me. No problem then. Easy enough to forget. Thanks Hicks.
