Three reason we lost tonight:
The nuggets out hussled us.
The nuggets bench goes 6 deep compared to our 3.
The nuggets got a lot of calls.
We are a better team than the Nuggets. Tonight just wasn't our night.

Could Denver miss tonight? So many weird things in this game. Refs in complete favor of Denver tonight. Constant fouling by Denver throughout the whole game. Hickson and Faried fouled almost every possession in the post. Andre Miller late infraction on the free throw might be the biggest. That was a no call. Miller was also 2/2 on threes. Darrell Arthur getting lucky rolls on his shots. Wolves played their worst game defensively as well. Not happy being 6-4. Should be much better than that.
Pissed.

We need a legit 6th man quality player to be a contender. JJ played well tonight but we all know he is best suited as a spark plug. Dante is being forced to be more than a backup player. Hummel is a nice 11-13th guy off the bench being forced to be part of an 8 man rotation. Shved and williams has been given chances but is clear that both have worn out their welcome here. Dieng and bazz arent ready. We need turiaf and bud back badly.

This was the sort of game the Wolves have to win if they're going to be more than a bottom tier playoff team scrapping for the 7th or 8th seed. The Wolves clearly have far more talent than the Nuggets. The Nuggets simply outhustled the Wolves and the Wolves showed little interest in defending. Yes, the Nuggets were hitting their shots. But they were getting way, way too many great looks and easy shots in the paint in addition to a ton of totally unguarded threes. I don't think the officiating was that one-sided. The Nuggets didn't play particularly well. The Wolves just played horribly. The Wolves kept the game close in the end because of the talent differential, but as Adelman has said several times so far this season, the Wolves aren't good enough to coast.
A very disappointing loss that raises questions about this team's character. Our starters rested the entire 4th quarter on Wednesday and had a full day off before tonight's game. Our starters were all 100% healthy and JJ had a great game. The Wolves should have won this one by 10. We'll see how the Wolves respond tomorrow night. The Celtics are a team the Wolves should beat at home or on the road. A loss tomorrow night would be unforgiveable.
