No one tell Camden it'll break his heart.

Wow. That surprises me. Livingston rumored for $6M a year. Now Meeks. Crazy numbers going around.

Maybe KG has grown up a lot since he left here. But I can tell you with that he was not a positive force in the Timberwolves lockerroom or bench when he was here. Probably not worth much more discussion, however, since there is no chance of a deal for KG.

Blazers are after monroe. Stan and pistons will most likely ask for batum in a sign and trade. Batum is the perfext fit for svg ' s offense and can play the point forwars role hedo played in orlando.

Aldrige+monroe with lopez behind them makes a hell if a frontcourt for the blazers.

I hope they get him and give up Batum. Lopez is a better defender than Monroe by far and they'd also lose Batum. Pretty please, Portland!

If Meeks is getting +$6M per I wonder what Anthony Morrow is going to make. They are basically the same player, Meeks is probably a slightly better shooter. If Flip was able to sign Morrow for $3M I would chalk that up as a victory

CJ Miles jumps to the top of my SG list with Jodie Meeks getting scooped up.

Meeks and morrow are not the same type of player. Meeks is a more rounded player while morrow is a specialist. I can see morrow being signed up for 3m or even a little less than that. However i dont see flip going after him or any sg really. We probably make our moves once the live situation is resolved and the free agents we mught target are probably a backup pg and pf.

Who does KG need to mentor? We already have Ronny mentoring Dieng and Dieng's already 24 this year. He's not a 19 year old kid. KG gives us another guy who is going to give a crap whether or not we win. We need ultra-competitive guys like him to instill that in the young guys on the team through his actions on and off the court. He doesn't need to put anyone under his wing and it never hurts to bring in more guys who give a crap and also instill the value of teamwork on a team. JJ is not going to be a positive influence on Lavine as he pretty much killed all of Shved's potential because his ultra-competitiveness wasn't based on teamwork, but him playing hero-ball and being a black hole . Bud can't stay on the court and Robinson is going to be able to shoot just as well as him at a much cheaper price point while having more athleticism. Shved just never worked out here. Whether or not you believe he was out of position during his time here, I think he needs a change of scenery and getting him back with AK 47 and Prokhorov could help revive his career. That's not a lot of value we'd be giving up for another body in the front court which we need. KG can still shoot and he can protect the rim for 15 minutes a night to keep us from overworking the other players. None of us are the same person we were 10 years ago, so I don't get how you can still envision him being the same player and person in 2014-15 that he was in 2004-05. We need a backup big and backup PG on this team, so you have to sign one and trade for the other.

Why do you think Meeks is more well rounded? Both are 3pt specialists, their career rebounding, assist, PPG, are basically identical. In my eyes they are the exact same player, I don't put any stock in Meeks running and gunning in D'Antoni's wacky system last year either.
