The Tulo trade was odd to me, and then I started reading about how COL's ownership really likes Reyes. And Lost. And Eric Kantor. And Zac Brown. And everything else you couldn't run from in 2010.

I actually am 180 degrees from you guys. I hate the Jepson deal. That Korean pitcher looks like he is finding his way. And I don't think you sell your future so a team that was projected to win 68 games can win 85 instead of 81.

There is only one team in town whose present is much brighter than its future, and that's The Mild. They should have bent over backwards to get Kessel from the Maple Laughs. He's not perfect, but even if he skated 10 mpg plus powerplays, that would have made them the best team in hockey. Top-heavy cap? Absolutely. Just like Pittsburgh's.

When you said you were 180 degrees from us, Jason, I thought you were going to defend the Jepson deal...not sure you read the thread carefully. Actually this board was almost 100% against the deal. Khans didn't like it, monster said he didn't like the concept of trading a starter for a reliever, and I just flat out though it was a bad deal. Jester was on board at first, but then admitted he didn't like trading pitchers with the Rays because they always seem to come up on top.

Jepson has been ok so far...better than the guys he replaced. But Hu really had great promise as a starter. Bad deal.

You're right Strange. I skimmed. I am glad we are in agreement.
