He was a big part of the run we went on to break the game open. Was all over Herro and Miami was scoreless for like 5+ minutes. The defense has looked really good for both games.

I'm not able to watch the games while traveling, but am following the box scores. I love Naz, but was not in favor of resigning him at a big price...didn't like his consistent poor on/off stats. But early returns are that I was 100% wrong. Naz might have been our on/off leader preseason, and certainly has been in our first two games. We know how potent a scorer he is, but is he more effective on the defensive side? An effective 2-way Naz would mean so much for this team.
Without a doubt. Let's just hope he can stay healthy and give us 65+ games, because he has looked terrific since he joined us. Father Time always wins, but sometimes it takes him longer to win (look at LeBron). Mike has taken care of his body, and doesn't have the look of someone who will soon be 37.
His defense was better tonight, but it wasn't good against the Nets. Tonight, it was more a story of his offense with him looking confident and his shot falling. I don't like to draw conclusions after two games, one in which Miami sat a few guys.FNG wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 6:02 amI'm not able to watch the games while traveling, but am following the box scores. I had the same opinion as you LST. I liked Naz, but just thought he'd be too expensive/luxury bench guy that would be buried behind Rudy/KAT. I was wrong too. They are using him like a sixth man and it's working out well. The dude can score.FNG wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 6:02 amI'm not able to watch the games while traveling, but am following the box scores.
