I think the big 3 dreams in my head are all possible buyout guys
Gordon Hayward
Chris Paul (if he’s traded and bought out)
Doug Mcbuckets

I just think it’s going to be really hard to find a trade for a guy who cracks the wolves rotation. I don’t think they are trading slow mo even if he has this many faults. To big of a veteran leader and is our best big wing defender.

So then the buyout market. I think Hayward could be the best buyout guy in league history. He would be so perfect for the wolves. A wing who is a playmaker and can shoot. Not terrible on defense. I know there are Pacers rumors for him because of role and he is from there but he would be perfect.

CP3 if traded and bought out would legit be perfect. I think CP3 is one of the few PG in the league who can handle having a Rudy leading curve. The wolves will always have an adult in the room.

Doug Mckbuckets is the least likely to crack the rotation but you can never go wrong with another elite 3 pt shooter. Would really help the spacing for moments in playoff games.

Also when we talk buyout guys the Celtics, Warriors, Clippers, Bucks, Suns are not allowed to add a buyout guy who is making 12 million or more this year because of the 2nd apron. That is huge for the wolves

Helps to really elevate the offense 3P shooting and spacing, but takes a hit on defense and leadership. I looked it up already and he has a team option for next year so he won't hurt long term Lux cap wise. Memphis is also not going anywhere so they would likely be a seller. Thoughts?
Yeah its no wonder Ant stops passing when Slowmo gives up multiple 3s a game. Kennard would be good too but I wonder if we can get another PG who can shoot with that money. It does thin us out at the 3 if we went Slowmo for a pg.
Luke Kennard would be awesome for this team. You'd then probably have to go get a PG on the buyout market or become more heavily reliant on JMac and NAW.
I think about those Bulls teams with Kerr and Paxson. They had legit 3P shooters who can knock it down beside Jordan / Pip and Rodman playing great D.

I like having the best defense but I do worry our offense could hinder us in the playoffs. It would be nice to have a lights out 3P guy besides KAT and Naz. You almost need 4/5 really on the floor to be capable and Slo Mo hasn't shown it thus far this year.

Yup, it's amazing how important having those floor spacers were for the Bulls, and this is before the 3-point era really took off. It was BJ Armstrong, Trent Tucker, and Craig Hodges at various stages of the Bulls first three-peat.

Here is an idea to secure a couple guys who may fit well rather than hoping for buyouts. Interested to hear if anyone else would like it or if it is reasonable for all teams.

Det receives: Milton, WMJr, 2025 2nd via MN

MN receives: Burks

MN receives: Cedi Osman, 2nd whatever year/protections from SA

SAS receives: Kyle Anderson, Cash from DET

Starting rotation: Conley, Edwards, Jaden, KAT, Rudy

Bench: Naz, NAW, Burks, Cedi, TBJ, JMAC

Burks one is intriguing; not sure about the Osman one.

Here's a hypothetical where we get both Monte Morris and Royce O'Neil in a three team trade:

Minnesota receive: Monte Morris and Royce O'Neil

Detroit receive: Kyle Anderson and 2nd RP (MIN 2024)

Nets receive: Shake Milton, Wendell Moore Jr and 2nd RP (MIN 2026)

Could be executed as two separate trades.

Conley / Morris
Edwards / NAW
McDaniels / Brown Jr
Towns / O'Neil
Gobert / Reid

Solid 10 man lineup there.

If you think either team is good with unloading those guys for late 2nd rd picks and deck chairs.

I have to think both players could fetch more.
