I assume this is a place holder for 10 days when Marcus Morris's buyout should be secured.

Re: Buyout Market
Yep - a total place holder. Sorry Justin Jackson...they could just as well have signed Tito Jackson - you ain't ever playin'.
Here is recent dump to my feed on the buyout market. Interesting that it shows both Shake and TBJ as possible buyouts. Honestly, I wouldn't mind bringing back TBJ for the 15th spot (assuming they sign Morris for 14th). Q has pointed out we seem thin at wing and we never know when McDaniels is going to punch another wall. Here's the link/wrap:

I am pretty sure the Wolves cannot sign TBJ (or Shake) if he is waived or bought out because the Wolves traded him to Detroit.Carlos Danger wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 10:33 am

While I expect nothing from Justin Jackson, I would not be surprised if he was extended another 10-day contract if the Wolves like what they see in practice, and maybe even sign him for a remainder-of-season contract.

Beyond the reality that you both point out...I didn't get the idea the Wolves brass was that high on TBJ anyhow. I'm assuming they'll just go the season with 14 guys and continue with 10 day contracts to meet the roster minimum. 26 games left...anyone they sign is going to have minimal impact this season (barring injuries).
Re: Buyout Market
Lance Stephenson says his favorite player to watch is Ant. Apparently has been tearing it up for our Iowa Wolves. Should the Wolves roster him for depth?
Re: Buyout Market
It seems like a great idea. Although, if it was a great idea, whey wouldn't the Wolves have given him the 10-day contract instead of Justin Jackson?
Of course, maybe they figure all the playing time he is getting in Iowa is a good thing, and we can bring him AND Marcus Morris in a at the same time in early March!
Re: Buyout Market
Lance Stephenson is a bit Shake Milton-ish. Yes, he's got an NBA body and strength and obviously plenty of experience. He can get you some buckets and is a bit of a do-everything guard in the G-League.60WinTim wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2024 10:46 amIt seems like a great idea. The problem is you can't trust his 3-point shot. There just isn't any room on the roster for a guard with an iffy jumper when you already have Rudy and SloMo in the regular rotation. All our guards have to make the open 3 consistently.
While Justin Jackson has not had success with his 3-pt shot in his prior NBA stints either, he appears to have found consistency with it lately in the G-League. Hopefully we don't need to find out if that translates to the NBA and everyone stays healthy!

Marcus Morris has been bought out
Re: Buyout Market
Looks like the wolves are signing TJ Warren to a 10 day contract.
