He's going to allow us to let NAW go if he becomes too expensive.BloopOracle wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2024 6:35 pm Did not expect Clark to surpass Miller's intrigue factor this quickly
If he's 165 pounds attacking the basket, he's gonna do it all the time once he knows he can absorb the contact AND get the foul call. Right now, he's not gonna get that call unless he oversells itQ-is-here wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2024 6:32 pmNot sure about that.WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2024 6:30 pm DIllingham after a year in the weight room is gonna be a foul merchant.
He looks like he has a higher defensive ceiling than NAW simply because of his ability to sniff out steals and get his hands on nearly everything around him. He just has to be able to punish defenses that leave him wide open. We can't have Andre Roberson or Josh Okogie 2.0! Him making that corner 3 was encouraging.Coolbreeze44 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2024 6:39 pmHe's going to allow us to let NAW go if he becomes too expensive.BloopOracle wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2024 6:35 pm Did not expect Clark to surpass Miller's intrigue factor this quickly
I respectfully disagree with this. I know you've written off a 20 year old. Again, he's 20 and TSJ will be 24 this month, so I'd give him at least another year before you bash him every single game unless you are really an angry spiteful person.
Feels like Dilly is rushing it once he gets to the hoop, but if he's rushing it now it's not going to get easier for him attacking the paint with guys like Wemby, Chet, and Livley/Gafford roaming the paint. Everything else about him shows promise, his passing both in the half court and on fast breaks, his hustle plays diving for the ball, and his shooting will be there. Whoever the shooting coach that worked with McLaughlin should be working with Clark. If Clark can hit the wide open corner 3 he will easily take NAW's spot when he leaves next summer.kekgeek wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2024 7:58 pm Just finished the game. Fun team. Some good and bad but overall great team effort.
My grades:
Nix: A
Dilly: C+
Shannon: A-
Minnot: B
Miller: D
Clark: A+
Hifi: B-
Edwards: C
Fun game overall. My biggest concern overall is I don’t think Dilly has made a layup in traffic yet. I think Minott on ball defense is the best I’ve seen it so far (still got a ways to go), Nix might fight for minutes and be in that Jmac role. Shannon looks like a pro. Hifi shot selection is iffy but he is super intriguing and he fights on both ends. You couldn’t ask more from Clark today, miller has struggled so far in SL, he had fouls today, I did think he had a couple of good body control finishes what keeps me inquired, he needs to get better at defensive rebounding also (he’s very good on the offensive glass)
