If Finch really benched Ant vs. him being dinged up, then it's a master stroke. He only has one or two of those arrows in his quiver to use on the star of the team and it worked perfectly.

he's been dinged up way worse and played through it.
This is Finch finally realizing that these kids can help this team and probably had a game like this in them earlier this season.
