Fulton, who was intriguing entering training camp with his Exhibit 10, has been pretty much a disaster. Oh well. Rocco has been up and down. But dang! You can't teach size, and he uses it above the rim.

Wolves win! Wolves win! Looks like Beringer had a really nice game.

Some ugly basketball. Victor Oladipo and Dennis Smith Jr on the other side. Iowa wins a tight one. Beringer with a very impactful game. Far different than the passive guy we saw in the 1st game.

Joan Beringer and the Iowa squad playing their first game in the Winter Showcase tournament. Joan looking good on defense to start.

Freeman looks better starting at PF. When the season first started, he was starting at C with Rocco subbing for him off the bench. He has more of a PF body and game.

Iowa once again switching everything with Joan on the floor. He can absolutely stay with guards. Well, at least G-League guards! But he has been such a menace at the rim I'm starting to question this strategy versus him hedging and recovering to the big so that he can stay closer to the rim.

Rocco with a pretty quiet first stint. Joan back in.

Joan can really run the floor, but we already knew that. He is going to get some easy buckets in the NBA simply by beating his man down the court.

I just tuned in for Freeman's 3 at the end of the first quarter. Nice defensive work by Joan to stall the last possession, but an offensive rebound spoiled that great defense. Oh well.
I think this is just a two game showcase. I wonder if Joan will be back up with the big club after that?

Feels like for Joan's development they should put him in coverages where he doesn't switch every time. He needs to learn how to hedge and recover or play drop, especially when he's guarding a true big like tonight that can take advantage of being matched up against a guard when the switch happens.
