That makes more sense, I couldn't believe without one of their top players they'd be favored still.FNG wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2026 7:23 pmGordon is definitely out, and I'm surprised how much that has affected the line...Wolves now favored by 1 1 /2!Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2026 7:12 pmIt is a bit telling though that Vegas likes Denver by 2.5 points on the road without Gordon? Jaden might get a hard foul by someone but they don't want to light his fire either. Everything around the game changes, but the action on the floor stays the same.
I would have liked to see them just keep beating them down then try and fire them up. They would be coming back strong I think either way, but these statements just add that little bit extra fuel.

Who do they even have to guard Julius now?Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2026 7:36 pmThat makes more sense, I couldn't believe without one of their top players they'd be favored still.FNG wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2026 7:23 pmGordon is definitely out, and I'm surprised how much that has affected the line...Wolves now favored by 1 1 /2!Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2026 7:12 pm

I'm guessing they will have Spencer Jones on him. He's a terrific perimeter defender, but not nearly as big or strong inside defensively as Gordon. I think Ju will try to bully ball him.TheFuture wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2026 8:17 pmWho do they even have to guard Julius now?Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2026 7:36 pmThat makes more sense, I couldn't believe without one of their top players they'd be favored still.

I haven't checked any stats, but the eye test tells me the Nuggets are very Jokic-Murray centric, more than they were under Malone. AG being hurt doesn't help, but with Jokic and Murray being so ball dominant, it's tougher for other players to get going. That is something we worry about with the ANT-Randle tandem, but kudos to the Wolves for not being over dependent on it. Others touching the ball has allowed them to find a rhythm and able to contribute.

Re: Wolves vs Nuggets
Cam Johnson has turned out to be quite the downgrade compared to Michael Porter Jr. I thought he was a good pickup during the offseason, but he's been a total non-factor in this series and was a pretty low volume scorer in the regular season.60WinTim wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2026 2:43 pm I haven't checked any stats, but the eye test tells me the Nuggets are very Jokic-Murray centric, more than they were under Malone. Yeah, we have nothing as reliably repeatable as the Jokic/Murray two-man game, but we have a lot of different guys that can hurt Denver. They really miss Peyton Watson too.
Re: Wolves vs Nuggets
Ant not on the injury report for tomorrow as of right now.
Watson is still out for Denver and Gordon is questionable.

Q, I don't know for sure, but I think that the Wolves just haven't reported injuries yet. The way Ant was limping on his way to the locker room last night, I gotta believe he will be listed.
Wolves/Denver are now a pick 'em for the series. Homer take...I think the Wolves are a good bet here.

I'll say this, whoever wins four games is a sure thing.FNG wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2026 6:54 pmQ, I don't know for sure, but I think that the Wolves just haven't reported injuries yet. The way Ant was limping on his way to the locker room last night, I gotta believe he will be listed.

That's why I said "as of now" since nothing was listed, but usually if an injury report hasn't been submitted by the team it will say in all caps: NOT YET SUBMITTED. There is simply nothing for Minnesota while Denver has Gordon and Watson on theirs.FNG wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2026 6:54 pmQ, I don't know for sure, but I think that the Wolves just haven't reported injuries yet. Finch said that Ant is still managing his injury but that it is getting better. He didn't look right to me last night, but Naz isn't on the injury report either and he's obviously still hampered. I'm not sure what line needs to get crossed to go from "nagging pain" to reportable on an injury report.
I guess the relief to me is that it's not any worse.
Re: Wolves vs Nuggets
When I checked earlier today, the injury report had Ant as GTD for undisclosed reasons. Its interesting that he is completely off now.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2026 7:12 pmThat's why I said "as of now" since nothing was listed, but usually if an injury report hasn't been submitted by the team it will say in all caps: NOT YET SUBMITTED.
