On the subject of Jarrett Allen, but really more so the Cavaliers... It's fascinating that they signed Allen back, drafted Evan Mobley, and still acquired Lauri Markkanen. I'd like to know what the front office is thinking in Cleveland. Three very talented bigs, but I'm just wondering what they're going to do there. I could see all three averaging 30 minutes a night.

I've wondered the same and they also still have Kevin Love.

Can Mobley play the 3 or is he not athletic enough. Don't know much about him besides a couple March Madness games.

Short answer is no.

Longer answer is that it would depend on the opposing lineup. Minnesota played Juan Hernangomez at the three in spurts last season and had some success with those lineups. Evan Mobley doesn't really have the foot speed to stay with most modern threes, but I'd say it's situational.

ESPN Sources: Brooklyn is trading C DeAndre Jordan, four future-second round picks and $5.78M to Detroit for Jahlil Okafor and Sekou Doumbouya. Pistons plan to work through a buyout on two-years, $20M owed Jordan; Nets will save $47M in salary and tax on deal.

I would agree with Cam. Having watched Mobley for a game in person I wonder if Markkenan would actually be better guarding in those matchups on the perimeter just because he moves well and is more experienced...and also isn't particularly good defending as a more interior player. That's not meant to knock Mobley as he moves well and is fluid for his size but his feet seem more like a big in how quick he moves than a perimeter guy. I'm not sure if playing him as a SF would be worthwhile for his development or not as I haven't seen him play enough so say what all his skills are.

Cavs brought in Tacko Fall on a tryout deal. That's a lot of length and I assume Hartenstein ain't coming back...the Nets may have cleared a spot to sign him.

Detroit addresses their roster spots dilemma and picks up four second-round picks. I like it for both sides.

The Nets released Alize Johnson. Could he be a solid depth pickup for us? I don't know a ton about him but his efficiency numbers from last year look good and Brooklyn even gave him some playing time in the Milwaukee series.
