I believe in these Giannis rumors as much as we believed we really a shot at trading for Kyrie.
Kyrie has never been available.
Remember when Kyrie was a Cav and there was this list of teams he was willing to go to and we were one of them supposedly?
It was us, the Spurs, the Knicks and Heat\

Thought you were talking about a month or two ago when there was some light speculation on Irving to Wolves.
But either way, back then we never made moves. Tim does. So to me it is apples to oranges.

Boy, Beringer's recent play has certainly made a trade for Giannis a little less of a stretch than previously thought. Now Connelly could make Jaden and Beringer available and that could very much assuage our dearth of draft capital to offer.
BTW, I feel queezy saying that, so don't take that as an outright endoresement from me. I'm just saying that Beringer's age and recent play gives us more to offer than what we may have thought a few weeks ago when Joan was toiling away in Iowa.

Back then we traded for Jimmy.

Giannis/Wolves steam is starting to grow. Windhorst reiterates that Giannis has interest in Minnesota.
Rob, TJ, and Joan are young guys with some upside.
Jaden is a really good piece to either bring on your roster to grow or trade for multiple picks.
Julius and Rudy have the requisite salary.
So its decision day, Giannis tells the Bucks he strongly prefers to go to Minnesota. The Bucks say we will take Julius, Jaden, Rob and Joan for Giannis. That leaves just under 12 million in contracts the Wolves can bring back to balance the roster. Milwaukee happens to have cheap veterans including Gary Trent Jr, Gary Harris, Taurean Prince, Jericho Sims, Amir Coffey and Cole Anthony. (Theres a lot of Minnesota connections in there) Would Milwaukee let go of Ryan Rollins?
Julius, Jaden, Joan, Lenny and Rob for Giannis, TP, Trent Jr, Sims and Ryan Rollins works in Spotrac.
Rollins/Mike/JC
Donte/Trent
Ant/TP/TJ
Giannis/Naz
Rudy/Sims
What do you do?

As exciting as it might be thinking about adding Giannis, can a team succeed with two players in the starting lineup who are such terrible 3-point and free throw shooters? I don't think it can work. Plus, I worry about a 31 year old player with so many lower body injuries. And I think the NBA world also realizes we aren't likely to trade for the Freak, because there are only 7 teams with longer odds of getting him than the Wolves (we're currently at 6000 to 1!).

I also wonder if this offer were at the finish line, does TC go to Ant for his input and what would Ant say? Ant is very open about how he feels about Jaden.
What is possible in the future when Rudy and Randle are gone with Ant, Jaden, Naz and Joan? Is there cap flexibility to make a big move to add to that group? It would seem so.

Good point about the Wolves likely consulting with Ant before they make any big moves. Naz is very close to Jaden, and he would likely not be happy about him being traded. I guess ultimately though TC will convince the current roster about any trade that will be good for winning..."it's a business" we hear them say all the time.

Would you trade Randle for Pritchard and Simons? Might need fillers to make it work.

That's a real interesting proposal! We would have to include Dilly to make salaries work from our side, but Boston can't take back more salary either, so a third team would be needed to take Dilly. This would move NAZ into the starting lineup and leave us thin in the frontcourt, so TC would need to somehow add another big. Maybe that SloMo buyout?
It's worth entertaining. I wonder how Boston would take it?
