Yes weird, I personally do not believe in the mantra of "since I have enough" I won't continue to find a better option. Now, I admit I am not familiar with all the details, but is Hummel, Hamilton, spot for Neal and I would say Brown are better then a possible dude who simply slipped in the draft? That's my reasoning for Weird. Youth is youth, but talent is talent IMO
I like the roster, but we still need to better the roster every year to compete in the west.
It's a combination of no roster spots on the big league team and fighting for minutes with guys who do have roster spots already slotted to be on the summer league team. Not as big of a chance to make an impression for a team who can't do anything with you anyway because the roster is full.

I think monster nailed it...these guys all have agents who know which teams have the most open roster spots, and the Wolves are not currently on that list. I'm sure Milt/Flip reached out to a couple guys for SL, but their agents steered them in a different direction.
I wouldn't even be surprised if Milt and Flip told guys if you have a better opportunity for a real chance at a roster spot take it. Right now the Wolves my not even be able to give some guys much chance to shine on a SL league team. My point is that Flip and Milt are likely very up front with guys and that may pay off later. Besides they did get Heslip for SL who lit up 2 separate leagues last year averaging over 24ppg so that's a guy that should be a little exciting. They will add some other dudes for SL as well. Wish we had a d-league affiliate...

Hummel hasn't signed yet...the Wolves have only extended him their QO for $1.1 million. Doogie reports that other clubs are interested in him, and his peripheral stats make him a bargain at that price. I wouldn't be surprised to see a club like the Spurs offer him more. It will be interesting to see if Flip matches. I think he likes him enough as a 15th man to match any offers within reason.
I understand the comments about the imbalance on the roster, but I don't look at this roster as having only 4 guards. Wiggins, Shabazz and Bud have all logged minutes at the 2, and even Bjelica handles the ball well enough to play some SG.
