I could see a realistic deal of Love to Cavs Wiggins, Young plus a 1st rounder to the Wolves and JJ and Bennett maybe a 1st rounder to the Sixers (maybe the Wolves dump another player). They get something pretty good in Bennett for Young and maybe a pick.

The question then is is that enough for Love? The big question for me is how good Thad is, to some extent how he fits next to Pek and then how much are we gonna have to pay him or lose him for nothing after this season? After reading and watching some clips of him I do really like him but idk. Would I rather have Bennett? Probably not although I like guys with potential.

On the other hand a super prospect like Wiggins plus a young starting PF in young plus a random 1st rounder sounds like a nice prize all things considered. I could get excited about the deal especially if the Wolves felt good about keeping Thad for reasonable (market value-ish) salary beyond this year. Of course anything more. We could get would be great but this could be a sneaky good deal that sets us up to be a very good team in the near future.

There is a 0% chance that Philly moves Young without getting a 1st round pick back, so any of these scenarios where they give us Young HAS to involve one of Cleveland's picks (whether it be via Miami or Memphis).

One interesting thought about Young as a part of a future Wolves core with wiggins and Rubio. You would have 2 guys in Rubio and Thad that have averaged over 2 steals a game in a season and Wiggins who projects at getting a lot of steals as well. Those 3 guys could end up averaging 6 steals a game between the 3 of them. That may be fun to watch. Heck next year could be fun if Brewer is still around with Young and Rubio. Ugh I'm getting ahead of myself but oh well what else is there to talk about?

Seriously? How does he warrant a 1st round pick when it's almost guaranteed he'd just opt out next summer anyway? The Sixers want to unload him as much if not more than the Wolves would want him. Bennett or Waiters straight up for him is giving them the better end of the deal even. Bennett or Waiters & JJ is more than fair. He's going to take minutes from their young guys.

Grey--I missed a part. I meant that if its Bennett as their main piece, there is no way they flip a valuable asset (Young) for Bennett. If they get the guy they WANT (Waiters) then you are absolutely correct. But Young is their most valuable asset (that they are willing to part with), so they aren't moving him simply for Bennett.

I am in agreement with TheGrey. That is way to much for a player who will walk next year. Bennett for Young is even enough for me. And we are all bitter about JJ, but the guy on the right team can be huge. He was in Dallas. Once again, we are losing Love, so why are we adding a solid vet like JJ, Brewer, or Martin?

It would be a big Summer if we can get Wiggins, Young, Waiters. But we need to move some wings.

How many times does it need to be said that Philly was highly interested in Bennett last year? I feel like I'm repeating myself over and over. Bennett/Oladipo/Noel were their favorites in the draft according to multiple reports. They didn't have an opportunity to select Bennett or Oladipo, but ended up with Noel. You're telling me that they wouldn't move Young, who's on a one year deal essentially, for a 21 year old prospect they had in their top three just a year ago?

I realized you said most valuable asset they are willing to trade, but in the grand scheme of things he's probably not even one of their top 3 assets. That's almost like talking about the Wolves #4 asset being Martin.

Lets also not undersell Bennett a guy that the Sixers has a lot of interest in last year as pointed out by Cam. If the Sixers have been shopping Young wanting to unload him then Bennett likely would be enough.

Exactly. If anything I'd try to swap 1st rounders with the Sixers b/c they are getting a talented young prospect near the top of their board last year.
