The Sixers aren't just trying to dump Young. They could have done that last year. 1 prospect and an expiring PG for a team who already has 2 PG's is not enough. You could get a first from them if you gave them Waiters and Bennett, otherwise you guys are complaining about adding a pick in the late 20's. That's not worth not getting a deal done.

I wonder if Philly would be interested in Bennett in the 3 way deal. . .

I could see the MEM/MIA pick going to the Sixers with the Sixers pick coming to the Wolves, otherwise how about this..

MIN: Young/Wiggins/Expirings/Sixers/MEM/MIA 1sts (3 firsts if they can get it otherwise let CLE keep the MEM pick)

CLE: Love/Brewer

PHI: Bennett/Waiters/JJ/Shved/2nd

I think that is way to much for the 76ers to get back for simply Young. I like his game, they are basically the same height, and Bennett has solid potential. Perhaps Bennett and Budinger/Brewer, since they have literally no one at SF. Plus contracts match up. Plus we wouldnt want 4 first round picks. We can package some but anymore then our own plus a mid 1st or lower is enough for Minnesota, especially how Taylor and Flip have used them this last couple years.

MIN: Wiggins, Young, Waiters, CLE First
CLE: Love, Barea
PHI: Bennett, Budinger, CLE MIA

Martin, Brewer and LRM plus Turiaf would be solid off the bench guys. I am scared for Shabazz, Shved and Lavine with playing minutes and really think Pek is odd starter out with this youth direction if something like that happens

Well, this is interesting. I always like to see what fans of other teams think when it comes to a rumored trade. For Thaddeus Young, this article and its comments think it would be Kevin Martin and a 1st from CLE for Thaddeus Young. Personally, I disagree, but I thought I'd share.

Philly really do lack wings and offense. Martin fills that need and I'm sure Flip would love to offload his 'bad' contract. Provided we get Waiters of course. Martin would also replace the scoring of Young. I really don't want to lose Brewer a second time. He's an ideal 6th man as he showed in Denver.

MIN: Wiggins, Waiters, Young, non guaranteed fillers and CLE 1st

CLE: Love, Barea and Wroten.

PHI: Bennett, Martin & MIN 2nd.

Rubio / Williams / LeVine
Waiters / Budinger / Muhammad
Wiggins / Brewer / GR3
Young / LMAM / Hummel
Pek / Dieng / Turiaf

I don't understand how Martin is a better option for them to take than Waiters. Waiters is younger which fits their youth movement and he is a hometown kid. They need a 2 to go next to MCW and with MCW's size, Waiters makes sense there. Martin is a 30 year old shooter who doesn't really do anything for you but score. Yes they lack scoring, but Waiters scored about as much as Martin in the second half of the season last year. Martin is also on the wrong side of 30 with 3 years left on his deal. I would think they would be looking for a young piece and a pick to move Young, not a bad pick and a long-term deal. If I were them, I'd throw the max at Monroe because a Noel/Monroe/Embiid front court would be a scary front-court in a few years. They're so far below the cap it's ridiculous right now.

Who said Waiters was available to Philly?? If he's on the table, he should be staying in Minnesota.

Philly's moves the past 2 years show they have 2 "needs" and thats young players and assets. They don't give a crap about anything else including winning. Unless they have some young guys really come through for them and show some promise Thad won't stay and nobody will blame him plus they already have guys to take his spot on the roster if everything works out in Embiid and Noel. I don't think they are just gonna give up Thad for nothing and they shouldn't but I think they would take a reasonably good offer and if that makes them worse in the short term that will be ok with them as well. lol
