Unfortunate his career ends so suddenly.
Fortunate that they discovered it.
He had a very nice career.

That's not the kind of result you are looking for if you give up two first round picks along with a serviceable center. The worse the Bulls play, the better Orlando's second lottery pick gets. Usually a trade is evaluated by who got the best player in the deal, so my knee jerk conclusion was this might work out for the Bulls. And it still might...the poor results may be more due to Vukuvic getting used to his new team than it being a bad fit. Still, with two lottery picks in this year's stacked draft plus another 1st rounder in 2023, the early returns are this was a great deal for the Magic.

Lavine to miss multiple games due to covid protocols

I'll be interested to see how Wendall Carter's career goes.
Ultimately the Magic basically went all in on moving guys that had value. It still feels like they should have gotten more for Fournier but you never know what those 2nds may bring them one way or another. They have guys like Ross that could be dealt at some point and who knows maybe they rehab Gary Harris value and move him. RJ Hampton looks like he has been doing some good things in a much expanded role in Orlando.

Orlando lost to Houston last night. That's a bummer for my quest to have the Wolves end up in the bottom three. Hard to see how Orlando wins another game this season. I think they'll end up with their current 18 wins and I still see the Wolves winning at least 4 more games. That would mean the Wolves likely finishing with the 4th worst record. The Wolves clearly have the easiest schedule among the League's bottom 5.

Lip... it's like you haven't followed this team before. NOBODY tanks better than the Timberwolves.
Strategic sit-games will become the norm. The Wolves will sign Mark Madsen to a 10-day contract to hoist three pointers. And the Wolves will add 3.6% or whatever it is to their odds to draft yet another tantalizing prospect who they can hope and pray will lead this franchise out of abject crappiness.

Also wolves have the 2nd longest stretch in NBA history without winning 2 games in a row. I think we will be fine
Re: Around the league thread
The Wolves and the Magic both have May 9 circled on their schedules...whoever loses that game gets the coveted third worst record. Lip, it was disappointing Orlando lost last night, but they were missing some players who will be back soon. They are a much better defensive club than the Wolves when Carter-Williams and Harris are playing (he's back now, but still getting back into playing shape), and I think they beat us on the 9th and win a couple other games as well. If the Magic win just 3 of their final games (and they should if their walking wounded come back and Wendell Carter continues his good play), the Wolves would have to go 8-6 to pass them...and we all know that ain't gonna happen. I see the Wolves getting their 40% chance of getting a top 3 pick.

Meanwhile, the Knicks have won 6 straight with only one all-star caliber player and a bunch of piece-parts that actually care about defense.
