NOOOOOOOOO!

Josh Smith, then?!?

This topic deserves a whole new thread. Even if Rubio gets 15 mil in his extension, the Wolves can afford afford a 10+ mil starting PF for a couple years.

Well, maybe Boston will go all in on cap space for next offseason and move Jeff Green for expirings and a #1!

You act like he broke off an engagement or something. This is an off-year basketball tournament. The Spurs are legitimately not allowing Ginobili and Parker to play. That's how unimportant this tournament is. I don't care if he's not playing and don't care about his reasons. If this tournament was actually important, the real Team USA would be playing and not their backups.

LST, I like your fire surrounding this topic. Glad to know I'm not the only one who knows the "real" KG either. Stick to your guns, you are making a lot of sense, especially on Love.

Report in the Morning Journal that a framework for a MN Cleveland deal is done with a few moving parts yet to nail down. No surprise there. But then the report went on to mention that the Cavs would prefer to hang onto Wiggins. My reaction is WHY EVEN GO THERE! The report goes on to say that the Wolves "probably" wouldn't do the deal without getting Wiggins. My reaction is to wonder why anyone writing that report would use the word "probably" in that context. I would think we've reached a point in the development of this story where any sports reporter who knows anything about what's going on would recognize that the Wolves absolutely, positively will NOT trade Love to Cleveland without getting Wiggins in return. There is no "probably" in this story and there is no point mentioning Cleveland's preference for keeping Wiggins any more than there is any point in mentioning the Wolves desire to keep Love.

Sorry for the rant, but I'm tired of bad reporting on this topic.

I actually think you're showing a lot of restraint, lip...it's absurd to say a framework is in place and then in the next breath say that the Cavs are still debating Wiggins. Plus since the numbers don't work in the potential deals he mentions, he demonstrates his ignorance about NBA trade guidelines. Pathetic reporting.

Agreed. I'd call it "reporting" at best. Many of these "reports" don't seem to really make any sense or as this one have much merit to them at all.

It really bugs me that the long waiting period on this deal is making Wolves fans analyze every little sign out there for potential news. The latest is Andrew Wiggins' tweet from about 5 hours ago. It's just an emoji of a little guy with his arms crossed in an X...no words. The sleuths on the rubechat board have researched this emoji, and determined that it can mean either "no good" or "no deal". WHAT CAN THIS MEAN??????????????????

And if you factor in the news that Love may be added to the USA team...

Sounds like both parties have been told about the trade and the timing of the trade!!! :)

And, yeah, this is going to be a long 20+ days.
