Robert Williams out indefinitely (probably the season) with a bum knee.
Not only will the team's hold on the #1 seed be tenuous... this shirley eliminates any discussion of a deep playoff run.
Dammit! I really wanted them to be one of the potential foils to Philly.
That's too bad. They do have Daniel Theis who is a pretty solid player. They need some other guys to step up though and there isn't a ton of size left other than Luke Kornet.
We'll see more of Theis and Grant Williams. Neither is a "bad" player. Both bring something to the table. Grant W. is undersized but actually pretty decent, despite getting bullied by Towns early yesterday. But Robert Williams can be a game-changer as we saw yesterday.
Also think the broadcast said last night he was 30 attempts away from qualifying for the best FG% every in the NBA season.

Just to be clear I wasn't saying it was t a big loss but Quite a few teams (including the Wolves) would love to be looking at Theis as a guy to help keep their season afloat to some extent. I agree that Williams bei be out likely end the idea of Boston as some ego do a contender.
Speaking of Grant Williams I haven't watched games but it looks like he sort of went from being a meh guy to being sort of worthwhile maybe even valuable as a bench player. He has a TS% of over 64% and it's a small sample size but over 91% from the FT line?!? Wut?! It feels like he had been in the NBA longer but this is his third year and did make a progression last year after a poor year statistically as a rookie.
One think I gotta give credit for when it comes to Brad Stephens is it seems at this point he hired the right coach to replace him.
Tyus Jones with another dominant zero turnover performance, as he captains the Grizzlies to yet another win over Golden State!
(Wiggins with another bad outing....5-15 from the field and 10 points. Just amazing how solid he is as a 3&D wing playing with HoFers like Curry, but just can't step up to the plate when Golden State needs him to be assertive).

The ole 7 PTS, 6 AST night on 3-9 shooting. Is Tyus Jones a top-10 point guard already? He's basically unstoppable.
Agreed on Andrew Wiggins and his slump actually dates back to about 20 games ago. You don't typically see All-Star starters struggle like this. Like I said before, they'll need him to flip some kind of switch before the post-season or they're at real risk of getting bounced in the first round.

We have seen Wiggins get into slumps like this. Yeah they really need him to break out of it espcially since it doesn't seem likely they will be healthy and rolling into the playoffs.
I just looked at GS stats and noticed Jordan Poole's numbers. I thought he had been playing well but I didn't realize it was going that well. I believe you and I both liked him as a pick later in the draft to take a chance on. He is 22 in his 2nd year what is your take on where his career could go from here?
The jazz have now lost 5 straight games and fallen into a tie with the Nuggets for 6th. Great news, until you factor in that it was the clippers who beat them after storming back from 25 down with Paul George playing like he never left..

Minnesota's still just 2.0 games back of both Denver and Utah for a top-six seed. I'm still holding on to hope that the Wolves run the table the rest of the way and get a little help on top of it.
