Great memory, Jerry (damn you :) ). I followed Johnson closely when he was a high school star in LA, and I had never seen a better high school player...local sportswriters were saying he was going to be better than Kawhi Leonard, the most recent LA high school star. So I really wanted him on the Wolves. But as Cool as pointed out, Stanley has been a major bricklayer in the NBA. Unfortunately Cool has come up with an accurate comparison in Johnson and Okogie in that their stats are remarkably similar (although I disagree with Cool about Stanley being the worse shooter...in his four years, Stanley has never had an eFG% as low as Josh's 41.4% this year).
I still like both these guys though...two seemingly great guys who leave it all out there on the court and play disruptive defense. But after 4 years we have to conclude that Stanley is what he is...a very good defensive player who will never be even an average shooter. I hold out more hope for Josh offensively even though his first year numbers are worse, because his shooting form looks better to me (although this may just be homer wishful thinking). Hopefully Josh can become the defensive player Stanley is while also becoming an average NBA shooter.
