It's weird there is no free stream for the draft this year. I guess I should have seen if my friend I usually watch it with wanted to watch it after all. Maybe I'll watch a Wolves game instead. Lol

Trade down and so now the Vikings have 4 3rd round picks and that Jets one is 2nd overall. Easy to get up into the 2nd if they want to.

Started watching ESPN sports nation coverage on Twitter. It's actually pretty fun.

I'm liking the Christian Darrisaw pick.

Hard to argue with the results on the trade down.

Chistian Darrisaw was a need and might have been BPA. I wouldn't have argued with the pick at #14. He seems like a scheme fit too. Not a mauler, but can block in space.

Darrishaw just looks like a massive human. Cleveland is not a small man but Darrishaw just looks big and wide and big. Golic Jr said he just looks incredible smooth and others agreed with him. The guy was basically not recruited out of HS and VTech we're fortunate to find him. He is an interesting story and an easy guy to cheer for.

The next question is whether Cleveland plays on the right or left side as a guard. Will the Vikings add a FA vet to play at LG next to a rookie in Darrishaw? Cleveland being an average guard this year from the start would be a pretty significant upgrade.

Monster - Good question. I hope they invest in the OL again on day 2. I wonder if the Raiders picking Alex Leatherwood ahead of Christian Darrisaw will be a Justin Jefferson like moment.

WINNER: MINNESOTA VIKINGS
Trade down and get the guy you like -- that's a winning move. There's a good chance the Vikings wanted Christian Darrisaw at Pick 14, but they instead traded down, picked up two third-round picks and still got the player they coveted. Darrisaw was the third-best offensive lineman and 15th-best overall player on PFF's Big Board.

The Vikings made a great pick here, needing people to protect their big-money-but-not-that-great-quarterback Kirk Cousins. Minnesota is desperate for offensive line talent, and the healing process begins with Darrisaw, who just produced the second-best single-season PFF grade by a Power Five offensive tackle in the PFF College era.

I have to complement you guys. Great job this year. No 25 page thread about all the UDFA's that are totally better than any Viking. No diatribes about how being a starting DB in the SEC is no big deal (Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, and Adam Thielen must have loved that one) and no bitching about the team that lost 3 CB's to FA drafted CB's. Vast improvement.

That being said, this draft seems like a snooze compared to last year. No Kingsbury house, no Belichek dog, no player from Collegeville drafted two full rounds before anyone from MIAMI was drafted. At least Goodell gave up his Booing Fetish.

Loved the first round picked. Loved how they traded back behind the Raiders, because then it's more like trading back 8 spots and not 9.

This is what I would LIKE to see the rest of the way.
1. Two trades where they trade the lesser two third's and two fourths to move into the 2nd round for the safety from TCU and the Guard from Ohio State.
2. Keep #66 and use it on the QB from Stanford.
3. Use the remaining 4th on a LB with the idea that Barr is going to play hand-in-the-dirt
4. Use a 5th on a for-the-love-of-God PR/KR.

What makes you think it makes sense to play Barr at DE? I think that died out a while ago. You know when healthy he is the guy that has the audio and sets up the defense right?
