Gobert (as a lob threat only, but very high volume and efficiency)
KAT
Naz
Ant (off the dribble or on cuts)
Nowell (off the dribble or on cuts)
Mac (actually not a bad finisher, especially in transition)
SloMo (not bad)
There are other guys who can obviously score inside as well. McDaniels wasn't bad, but this is an area for growth. Prince, sort of. Minott should be a dunk threat off of cuts, but he likely won't play much. Moore, maybe? The keys here will be Ant and Nowell putting pressure on the rim from the perimeter, which we know they can do at a high level.
Midrange scoring
KAT
DLO
Ant
Nowell
Prince and SloMo can kind of do this too, but it's not really something I want to see happening a lot necessarily. Maybe Moore too, but who knows?
Outside shooting
KAT! (catch and shoot and off the dribble, even with some stepbacks)
Forbes (mostly catch and shoot, but can do this off the dribble a bit)
Nowell (catch and shoot and off the dribble)
Prince (mostly catch and shoot, ideally)
Ant (any way he wants, but it would be nice to see that percentage increase)
DLO (a bit of a down season last year, but he's average to above average)
Naz (good for a center, but I don't want too much of it)
SloMo (maybe? percentages have been fluctuating a bit around average to just below average)
These days, almost everybody needs to be able to stretch the floor. Obviously, Gobert can't. Jaden shot less than 32% last year, but showed potential from the corner (please, please, please). JMac was also a bit disappointing. I have no idea what to expect from Moore, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I don't think Minott can shoot from outside, so that'll also keep him off the floor. We'll always want to have at least 3, ideally 4 outside shooters on the floor at all times, especially with Gobert. As I look at this, it makes getting Okogie a tougher proposition. Man, it's so key to find guys who can both defend really well on the perimeter and shoot from the perimeter.
. . . more later
Looking forward to it. Please feel free to add some stats (analytic or old-timey) to back up these claims and not just rely on "Guy typing it into a message board" because that has a checkered past.

The Wolves traded 5 players and brought back one. That opens up 4 roster spots. I know the Wolves gave up a lot but those roster spots could have value both for this season or in the future if the Wolves add some guys with youth/potential.
Needs:
PG depth seems like it could be bolstered. Here are guys that could provide some sort of minutes at that position.
Russell
McLaughlin
Edwards
Nowell
Moore
Anderson
Basically the Wolves have 5 guards right now. They went from having a bunch of them to 5 plus a couple guys like Anderson or McDaniels who can offer something on one end or the other in that respect. The Wolves could probably use another guy that can handle the ball and another shooter wouldn't hurt.
PF the Wolves are back to having 1 guy that's a PG in Anderson and he isn't a total classic PF either. With Gobert playing Prince or McDaniels is more ok but getting another guy that is more of a PF would be good. Bjelica for the vet min could be fun. Juancho/Bo Cruz is available! The kinda funny thing is that for the vet min he might be be worthwhile.
What guys available for the vet min or I guess the biannual exception would you be interested in getting? Are there some young guys you would like to take a flyer on? Maybe there is a young player we may not have signed otherwise that we can get now. I see the open roster spots as a possible opportunity to add a worthwhile player to the roster either now or as they develop.
I couldn't find evidence of Anderson or Moore having ANY PG minutes. McLaughlin is unproductive. And Edwards has stated he doesn't want to play Point and actually had more PF minutes last year than Point minutes. Again, if "Typing it into a message board and it is made so" was a thing, I would have done it long ago.
Apparently you never watched a Duke game this year.

So a SF getting a few minutes at Point in College is all it takes?

Actually Moore was often the primary PG at Duke this year.
Listening to Some of Dane Moore's podcasts made me think of some more value this Gobert trade had although it's sort of minor. It's another utilization of assets players thing.
Wendell Moore Jr might not be ready to play this year. Of course maybe he is. Let's say the Wolves kept the roster the same but maybe traded Beasley for a big. They were still loaded with guards or smaller wings. Who gets minutes between Moore and Bolmaro if they ever really played much? They are both theoretically versatile guys who can do a bunch of things. Each guy comes with some questions. It would have been great to have both guys on the roster because you would have had 2 chances to fine a versatile player that can play with a bunch of guys. How long was that gonna take? One of the advantages of drafting rookies especially late in the first round is they are fairly cheap for multiple years. McDaniels even if he is a just a solid starter at SF is a bargain. If you have young players that basically don't get to play you are loosing a bit of their value of being a cheaper player every year. What if Bolmaro barely saw the floor for another year? Could be fine maybe he develops and turns into...something worthwhile. I'm totally fine with having guys sit and develop and not counting on rookies. However if there really is a tough path for guys to play that can be a problem. Look at Nowell he has developed but he was cheap for how many years and maybe now the Wolves will finally really cash in on that cheap deal this year...then have to pay him likely significantly more than what he was getting paid to keep him. I LOVE young players and prospects but there is sort of a diminishing returns sometimes on how many you can have at any given point.
Note that one of Connelly's successes in Denver was finding Torrey Craig who was a 27 year old guy that was pretty far from a hot prospect. He became a valued rotation player in the league. Not every addition to a roster has to be some young guy that's under 22 or 23 years old or whatever. Gary Payton II is another example of an older player that finally found his way and looks to have become a worthwhile NBA rotation player. Roster spots in the NBA are really valuable. The good teams find many ways to maximize them and that's why some of us do spend time talking about Nathan Knight or McLaughlin or whatever. If the Wolves are able to fill and find worthwhile players with a couple extra roster spots because of this trade and open up opportunities for a young player that maybe can actually contribute sooner rather than later that adds value to the deal. We can say a first round draft pick has a chance to become a good player. What chances are they that they are better than a FA that a good team possibly a contender can sign for even a vet min contract because they have that roster spot?
