Lovely.

His Wife also is charged. Reading the report it doesn't sound the best. I will be a little surprised if Malik is back on the wolves this Year.

Reading more on it now. I think he's 100-percent guilty and a moron for doing what he did. Because of his status as an NBA player I wonder if he'll get slapped on the wrist with a fine and then keep it moving. In that case I could see the Wolves still retaining him, but if there's any jail time it's a huge no go.

I doubt he gets any time. He has two good lawyers, the firearms are legal. His wife claimed the weed, though it was alot. Also sounds like the couple drove onto his property. If players get off assaulting women, then I just dont see it.

A hefty fine, treatment/community service, and a suspension.

Either way, what an idiot. You're looking at your first big contract and decide to go all Rambo with 835 grams of weed in your house.

Oh, definitely. I mean, that is 30 oz of weed - nearly two pounds. I wouldn't expect it to be all personal. I know the NFL is allowing players to smoke now, is the NBA? Or do I have that reversed?

Hopefully he has two REALLY good lawyers.

This type of bad publicity plus possible suspension should be enough to knock his contract demands down a bit from the jump. Talk of him getting north of 15-million annually should disappear.

He definitely has good lawyers. Even before his first potential big payday... he's still a multi-millionaire.

He won't serve any time. And he'll be signed to a team.

If anything, the Wolves save money in a resign. Teams have overlooked worse in the past.

[Note: But what a knucklehead. We talked ourselves into thinking he could be a leader on this team. Really? That's out the window at the very least. Yet another reason I want Haliburton on this team...]

Yeah, I still was more in the 8-12 range. Kind of nice to have his bird rights, as like you said, I cannot see a team throwing a huge amount at him now.

It all hinges on the he said she said between Beasley and the couple now. Apparently there was a witness who drove by and saw a man pointing a rifle at the car. That doesn't help. They also picked him out of a lineup, but that's easier to do with a famous person.

I did not like that they leaked his full home address, that's unfortunate.

I read a report someone posted on Twitter that showed police had a warrant and took security camera footage from his home. So if Beasley did what they say he did, then they'll have pretty damning evidence.

Pretty unfortunate to see a young guy making dumb mistakes, but if it keeps Beasley from making more than $12-million annually and he can make 40-percent of his threes, then it'll be a blessing in disguise as far as basketball goes.

Yeah, I saw that too. You're right, they'll have the time stamps.

Assuming he'll get suspended, how many games would you wager?
