Whoever that guy is - Dwight Powell? WCS? Hartenstein? Knight? - I don't know. But Ed Davis was the right archetype...just too damn limited offensively.

I want Bismak biyumbo. I know butchered that name
Bismack Biyombo hasn't been good in a while, in my opinion. Paul Millsap is the clear, top veteran big available, but I doubt he's coming to Minnesota. Absent that, the Wolves should re-sign Jarred Vanderbilt to a team friendly multi-year deal and run it back. I'm not that excited about the remaining pool of free agent bigs.
Here's a thought. What do you all think it would take to acquire the 22-year old Wendell Carter Jr. from Orlando?
Carter Jr. was obviously part of the package that Chicago dealt to Orlando for Nikola Vucevic, but it's unclear if they're really banking on him for their future. In theory, he could do a lot of the dirty work that Karl-Anthony Towns hasn't been able to do while he's been shouldering the load offensively. His numbers are solid-yet-unspectacular given the role he plays.
Orlando looks pretty thin on the wing and lacks a strong perimeter defender in the backcourt besides the newly-drafted Jalen Suggs. I could potentially see a Josh Okogie for Carter Jr. one-for-one swap making sense for both teams. Minnesota might have to add draft compensation in the form of a second-round draft pick(s) or even Jaylen Nowell becomes part of the conversation.

What's their plan with Mo Bamba? Looking at who they have under contract they don't exactly have a lot of "bigs" so I'm not sure this makes sense but I could see Orlando being a team the Wolves end up dealing with in the future and I like Wendell Carter Jr to some extent. Both he and Mo Bamba are headed towards FA after this coming season and their Qualifying offers are not particularly cheap at 9 million for Carter and over 10 million for Bamba.
Edit: just realized they have the Wagner bothers. I'm getting ready to watch the Orlando summer league team take on the Cavs. Should be fun.

Yeah, I was just about to mention Mo Bamba as another potentially "easier" target to acquire given that he's firmly behind Carter Jr. in Orlando. That might be the way to go even though I like Carter Jr. more. Keep in mind the Magic also have Robin Lopez on the roster for a year as well as Jonathan Isaac who could slide in at the five from time to time. I just see that they're a bit thin at the wing, especially defensively, and they could likely part with a big and be fine. I could see a potential trade there.

Edited my post but I'll add this here.: Just realized they have the Wagner bothers. I'm getting ready to watch the Orlando summer league team take on the Cavs. Should be fun.
Lopez there does add some size. I like them taking a shot on Mo Wagner especially with his brother there. It will be interesting to see what they do with all those lead guard types. Fultz is kinda expensive... Cole Anthony looks like he is in great shape and they have RJ Hampton too.
Carter Jr. really seemed to start emerging as a defensive anchor and solid big in his 2nd season with the Bulls. But then last season things sort of fell off a bit. He wasn't much of a factor with the Bulls or Orlando. I don't know...there are so many bigs in a similar "question mark" tier where if you squint hard enough you can convince yourself that they could be a really good fit for us......or just totally meh. He's one of them.
I Voted for Lauri Markkanen, not only he's available on free agent and willing to switch team. However, i am chinese zodiac specialist. he (5/22/97)is wood rat, snake and ox...wood means to grow and nonstop growing always working on their things just like Coach Finch and Rosas. Lauri has couple good combinations and he needs rooster (aka Finch) and Pig (Towns). That mean he works well with them (chemistry aka cohesive just like married a soul mate or a trusted business partner) .
As well as a superstar always has their birth chart of best friend zodiac (ox and Rat same as Kirby Pucket) 90% superstars have their best friends zodiac here's a long list in NBA not counting other sports: Liilard, Mcollum, Giannis, Love, Kawhi, Jokic, Collins, Lamelo, Bojan, Marc Gasol, Luka, Kyrie, Harden, Durant, Pascal, Lowry, Butler, Vanvleet, Rudy, Dwight howard, Embiid, Simmons, Bradley Beal, Etc...

I'm just gonna be honest with you... I don't know what any of this means. I don't typically consider the zodiacs, the sun, the moon, etc. when it comes to basketball. That's not my forte. With that said, it's not a lazy plus-minus metric so I'm in. Keep it coming and good work!

I don't see Robin Lopez finishing the season with Orlando.
