On the bright side the parity in this league is refreshing
On the dark side, if this is what we paid for parity I'm going to cry!
I'm taking back the Tim Connelly section at Target Center offer back I floated when I was on cloud nine, which was as recently as 7 days ago!
Thanks Wally!
While I won't say that I'm not concerned, let me remind folks that we lost 6 straight games early last season and were 3-7 after our first 10 games. 9 out of those 10 games were at home.
It's a long season and it's way too early to draw any conclusions. But yeah, Finch has his work cut out for him.

Glad I was traveling and missed this one. I can't offer anything on individuals, but I will say this, KAT's numbers look good. But isn't that the story of his career? He gets numbers during an embarrassing loss?
It's way too early to panic or draw any conclusions. Seriously it is. But IF this were to continue, do we have any choice but to trade KAT and get our draft capital back? I'd much rather follow this team with Rudy in the middle than Towns.
DLO's numbers don't look bad either, how did he look tonight?

The guys the Wolves really miss are Beverley and Vando. I'd say they also miss Beasley. The team had an identity last season as a high-octane fast-paced offense with an aggressive, get-after-it defense. This team currently has no sense of itself. There's no intensity. There's disunity. Perhaps things will change as the season wears on. But this is why I didn't like the Gobert deal. It fundamentally changes the team's style of play at a time when the team was on the incline starting the second half of last season and continuing into the playoffs. The Wolves front office and coaching staff needed to see whether what we saw last season was sustainable and whether further improvement from young players would materialize before throwing all their chips in. Yes, it's only four games and a lot can change over the next 78 games. But there are some really bad signs so far.

Arguing and in-fighting after 4 games? I'd like to say I'm surprised, but we have some mental midgets on this team. I've noticed KAT refusing to acknowledge Rudy after good plays between the two. It's just the same immaturity we've seen since he came into the league. This board has largely apologized for KAT's behavior, but now I see some coming around to the realization it will never change. The question is can we win in spite of it.

I'm going to be very annoyed if that dust between Ant and Kat isn't reported on by the likes of Jon K, Britt and/or Dane Moore. Wouldn't surprise one but if it's not. Very soft reporters in this market, just like most of the roster. I will say I do like Britt and Jace quite a bite.
Re: Wolves vs Spurs GDT
I was going to originally post this in the hows the trade working out thread, but thought it would be better suited for this game. What we really need right now is leadership, we have the talent....
I'll give you Beverly and add Vando, Bev may not be able to turn around the lake show, but his leadership would be huge right now, I have to think these lulls for half the game would decrease drastically with him and Vando running around like a deer. We desperately need leadership and a pecking order, the good news is we have time, the bad news with all the talent we have, is there someone to take it? It has to be either Dlo or Gobert unless we see a totally different and locked in Towns? It's to early for Gobert to take it. Ant is to young, and he still needs to learn to be consistent to lead. Dlo is not consistent. And KAT is to indifferent to dominating a game like he should be able to at the offensive end. KG didn't dominate on offense most games like he could and should have, always 25 and 12, but his impact on the game in other ways was elite. KAT doesn't have that trait, but he does have the ability to drop 30 every night on decent percentages. Is it more likely Dlo will be consistent or towns becoming the Alpha on offense? Who's it going to be? My money is on Gobert. If that's the case, and we end up being more cohesive, than yes I approve of the trade.

DLo was terrific, Cool...wish you could have seen him. I left the arena with 11 minutes remaining in the game and the Wolves down 35, and DLo was a crisp -31 on the night. But he sparked an impressive 4th quarter comeback, and ended the game only -12. I'm a big fan of padding stats when you're down more than 30 points.

So let me get this straight. When he was on the floor, the Wolves were outscored by 31 points? Does that matter in a basketball game? Do they keep score at this level?
