Any win is a good win for a team reaching for that middle rung in the NBA. But still, way too close for me after such a brilliant start.

- Thank God for PBev and Nowell. Bev's defense and Nowell's offense in the 4th quarter bailed us out of what would have been a horrific loss.

- This is the 2nd time in the past week or so that Nowell's shot-making won us a game. The other was against Boston.

- When I watched Nowell in the G-League, he was a two-level scorer. He was an excellent 3-point shooter and he was awesome in the mid-range all the way to about 6 feet or so. What I didn't see as much of that I've seen lately is his ability to finish around the rim. It's interesting that he's inverted his game a bit - scoring a ton more in the mid-range and at the hoop than from beyond the arc.

- I'd say ship Beasley the hell out of here, but we are so weak on the wing and at PG depth, that there is actually plenty of room for both these guys to play. Finch is doing everything in his power to get Beasley going.

- I'm going to give DLO a pass tonight since it was his first game back. Finch absolutely did the right thing by pulling him in the 4th.

- DLO, Prince, Beasley, and Naz went a combined 3-26 from the field and 0-14 from 3. I mean, how is that even possible!? The shooting struggles this team displays year after year boggles the mind.

- We need a more disciplined game out of KAT when we play @OKC. The silly homerun pass attempts and offensive fouls are totally unnecessary against a smaller, inferior opponent.

Really stoked both Nowell and Jaden have been coming around and showing up on offense. Having more depth and not having to rely just on KAT/Ant/DLo to carry the load is huge.

Abe's Late Night Half-Asleep DVR Review:

- I saw the first quarter. +20... saw most of the 1st half and dozed off for the 3rd after the Wolves got it back to +18. When I woke up, OKC had multiple chances to take the lead.

Apparently, I chose the best times to sleep.

Nowell added in the mix gives us the ability to play whoever is more hot between Nowell & Beasley on a nightly basis which is big.
