I am not a huge fan of him personally. I would like someone that has more to offer on offense.

Yeah, I'm a little on the fence with Nerlens, as I do believe he could be a defensive force some day. I know that in Philly, he's struggled to blend in with Okafor. It would be tempting though.

I would. The dude is a monster defensively when he only plays the 5. Move Towns to the 4 and those two could be interchangeable defensively. There are a couple dominant C's in the league that are limited offensively in the same way. Right now he's a 1.5/1.5 guy defensively and he will hit 2/2 in blocks and steals in his career a la Josh Smith. At the end of the day we don't have enough defense and being able to have Towns or Noel anchoring the defense at all times would be huge and they should be a better fit together than Noel is next to Okafor.

I would and it wouldn't be a difficult decision to make. The Sixers statistically have been better when Noel is on the court and Okafor is off. The reason for that is the defensive impact he makes in passing lanes, protecting the rim, P&R defense and rebounding. He's not great in isolation, but his team defense is what makes him intriguing. I think you could absolutely play him next to Towns considering Towns should continue to stretch his game to the three point line.

To me, that might actually be a best-case scenario for both teams. Philly gets a chance to add a guard (Dunn/Murray) to their core while still having Okafor and Saric in the front court. We get another young player with a couple of years in the league who helps give this team a defensive identity moving forward.

Rubio, Wiggins, Noel, Towns in one lineup is filthy defensively. Add in LaVine/Muhammad and it could potentially be good enough offensively.

Bottom line: Yes, I'd do the trade quickly.

I would trade a pick around 5 for noel as well. Like others have mentioned already, he fits in nicely with towns. He and favors are 2 guys I would trade for in that spot( #5).

Then I'l look to sign batum as the 3 and d wing with rebounding and playmaking skills and Move forward with that.

Count me in favor of that move too. But don't get too excited, we are going to be picking in the top 3.

Love his defense, but worry he would be an issue on offense for a team that starts Rubio at PG.

Rubio isn't necessarily guaranteed to be here long-term. We're gonna have a new POBO and coach soon that may not want to keep him. We can't afford to not make a move that will make the team better because it may not fit with Ricky. Ricky is expendable.

I agree. I think trading the pick would almost need to be a replacement for Ricky. I just think the PG position is more important then a PF. I would also consider packaging Ricky and the pick for the right player.

We could play Tyus at PG with Towns and Noel backing him up defensively. Having those two anchors let's you be able to get almost any type of PG you want and not have to worry about defense too much.

I don't have much faith in Tyus as a starting PG in the league.
