Is it concerning that Alex Caruso was the clearcut 3rd best player on the court last night?

I was proud of Bates-Diop and Okogie in this one. Thought everyone else underperformed, especially defensively and on the glass... and on the sideline.

Yeah, nice to see him get on track again after that last bad outing. Culver and Okogie looked like they had halfway decent games as well. Okogie seems to have been straightening out his 3 a bit lately. Good to see.

We have some intriguing talent that is still very young: Okogie, Culver, and Nowell especially have a lot of headroom for growth.

Okogie is having a very good season so far with terrific defense and rebounding. He's also been showing much better control on his drives, which has result in him finishing his layups and dunks. More recently, his perimeter shooting has looked good as well. It's a reminder that he's barely 21 years old with only two college seasons under his belt. This is the sort of development you'd expect from someone in his position who has a great work ethic. And he still has a lot of headroom to grow his game. As I've said many times, if he can develop his game to match his raw tools (freakishly long length, elite athleticism, great motor and very good instincts), he will be an allstar caliber player.

Culver's perimeter shot is broken, but he's done somethings on the court that are really impressive. He appear to have a very high basketball IQ. He's a better ballhandler than I thought he'd be and has an elite burst of speed to go with a surprising elusiveness to his dribble drive game. And yes, he does appear to have a 40+ vertical. I now see the potential to justify his draft position, but I still wouldn't have drafted him that high given the status of his shot. Nevertheless, he could become a very good player. He clearly has the worth ethic and drive to be good.

Nowell has been an offensive force in the G-League, continuing the efficient high volume scoring he displayed and dead-eye shooting accuracy he showed in college. I continue to believe as I did on draft night that he can be a really good NBA player.

Then we have Reid, Layman and Martin. All three have shown nice potential.
