The guys that have kevin martin as our number 1 wing going into wiggins 2nd season.( The same season that happen to be martin's last in the nba as no team pick him up after that season). They are in the 'I told You So' phase now regarding wiggins?

I certainly understand the frustrations some has with wig. All of us have our own favorite type of player and we tend to manipulate our argument towards the types we like. The fact of the matter is, all 30 teams would gladly have wiggins and all 30gm's would offer wiggins the max contract if they could and there is a reason for that.

This seems like a disingenuous and inaccurate post.

Just for the record... we once had a poll about who'd we'd rather keep -- Giannis or Wiggins.

22 out of 33 posters picked Wiggins. Hometown fans have bias. It's just how it is. Overvaluing our own players (especially young ones) is part of what makes us fans.

Disingenous and inaccurate is what you just posted abe. You bringing up the giannis or wiggins is the exact point I was making. Most here would admit that giannis is better than wiggins now and those who voted no before for that proposal would admit their mistake today. Its an example of a poster manipulating the argument to suit his narrative. They will throw the 'I told you so' easily. But most here would never admit being on the wrong side. They would always push what the have right each chance they get so they can appear to be better and credible when they are trying to argue for or against a player.

My problem here is we are throwing jeff green and darko around here. Then we start digging stats to support those claims. Like I said, most of us have our own favorites and that is okay but lets be realistic at the same time.

We could all throw the 'I told you so' to each other all the time. Guys here that shit on wiggins lack of 'do shit stats' are the ones that will defend a kevin martin who does even less shit than wig do but they just like him more. Many here call adelman an old idiot for not playing derrick williams who may not even be in the league anymore at age 26 or 27?

Another example is the rubio vs teague thread. That started out hot when rubio started the season very well but die down quickly when rubio struggled and regress back to his norm. Expect that thread to pick up steam again when rubio have a good to great 7-8 game stretch. It is what it is. We have our favorites and we could all throw the 'I told you so' thing to each other and find a bunch of stats to suit our narrative. We also tend to remind everyone each time we got something right. That is how these message boards work, we all know that but when something is absurd, then we need to call it like it is.

I disagree. I wrote that because I believe World literally made up that narrative out of his ass.

There's nothing to back it up. Maybe there is a poster out there who fits that generalized trope he created? Maybe? But he made it seem like there's a large group of folks that fit into that contrived narrative. It's simply not true.
