Bucks get the best player and their starting center.
Wolves get a thibs guy off the bench and a reclamation project.

Maybe I'm alone on this, but this trade does more harm than good for us, in my opinion.

I don't think too highly of Snell, and I don't think the pairing of Snell and Maker is comparable value for Dieng. Keep in mind, this is coming from someone who believes Dieng can and should be dealt at some point.

This is also not the appropriate time to deal sure things for reclamation projects. Maker sounds great in theory, but he isn't anywhere near the Porzingis or Markkenen that I feel like people want him to be. And he is still far from being a productive rotation player on a winning team.

For me, this deal is a no go. I'd ask this, though. If you're open to making this kind of move, why not spend a little more and get something of quality?

Another consequence of trading for a wing this season that deserves a bunch of minutes as a bench player it may make it more difficult to get a quality guy to come here with the mo eh we will have to work with. What if you could attract a guy like Will Barton or Wayne Ellington here with the mid-level because you have real need for a bench wing on a really good team? I get the idea of getting better this year and beyond with some of these trades but just another thing to consider although I also get who knows what could happen months from now.

Snell is familiar with thibs, so i think there would be a smoother transition.
Secondly, He makes half what bazemore does yearly. 9-10 mill a year for a back up wing is doable, 17-19 mill a year, isnt.

The Bucks hang up the phone so fast on this deal. If they include Maker in a deal they are getting more then the garbage in this deal. Cmon now! Maker may not be a productive rotation player right now but he still has a ton of upside and that has value in this league still.

Teague and Patton for Lou Williams, Teodosic, and Wes Johnson.

I don't think that'd be enough for this version of Lou Williams, but I could be wrong.

So you want to give up Patton and a 1st round pick for what could be 2 rentals in Teo and Lou and then likely have to pay Wes Johnson 6 million per next season? No thanks.

I didn't say a first round pick, and we would need to be able to sign Williams for the deal to make sense. It would be a great deal for us.

Like Cam said I don't think that's gonna be enough to get Lou. A 2nd rounder from us isn't gonna move the needle much.
