I think we're discussing two very different things.
I was talking about one game (a 13-point loss against a team on the tail end of a back-to-back) not the entire season. The Wolves being 4 - 4 (with 4 road wins of all things) is a surprise to me and many others and is a positive thing. I don't think that's the debate I was having though.
The Wolves overall have been a nice surprise. Maybe that's why I'm ready to move on from moral victories for 13 point home losses.
There is no "debate". There are only "opinions" in this instance. And it's really not your place to say that I (or anyone for that matter) cannot have an opinion. It's a long season. And we are most likely going to lose more games than we win. With all the losing, some Fans (like me) need to find a way to stay interested. If some fans are able to stay interested because they feel the Wolves played GS close last night without Rubio, then - let them.
*It seems to me Abe uses a lot of "I" when stating his perspectives. That distances himself from saying you or I have to believe what he does. I thought his point that you both are discussing different things is very true. I can't exactly communicate to Abe why that loss last night feels more positive than negative but it does. Like he said though I think it's a totally different perspective and neither are specifically right or wrong but I do appriciate where Abe comes from on this. I like the idea that Abe has that we can move past moral victories because there is actually some level of success.
Also something to consider is bottom line from what he has said in the past Abe has ABSOLUTELY no interest in moral victories. He doesn't believe in them. I think too often we like them and I am included in that. Abe is more of a patting realist that comes off sounding pessimistic and others like to be more optimistic. I am probably still more optimistic but like to stay more grounded in realism than I used to.
* Abe spoke for himself already but I will leave my post as is.
