I think the point about who is the bigman coach on the coaching staff is a good one. Unless someone knows something I don't there isn't one. Bring back Sikma or somebody that works with Bigs. Booth is more of a scout guy as far as I know and the dude wasn't particularly skilled offensively not that he can't teach, but yeah. Bayno worked alot with Pek also when he was successful.
I hope ur pick in this draft isn't completely reliant on Rubio being healthy.

Everyone was still high on Pek as a contributor and focal point of the offensive noting that his trade value wasn't real high cuz of his injuries.. Then the season started and he got hurt and everyone has abandoned him as a piece of the future and a trade asset. So right now Rickys value isn't real high but he's one sprained ankle away from being a number 5pick worth absolutely nothing. Is he closer to upping his value right now or is it on the cusp of being worth absolutely nothing?? I'd hedge my bet and trade him while he's still worth what you guys perceive to be a top 10 pic .

Pek may never play again. You think Ricky won't?
I fear he'll continue to miss enough games to make his already weakening value worth squat . I'm simply saying maybe you get something for him while can. Just like I said about Pek before last season . But everyone thought his value was highest playing here.
That video makes me sick to my stomach. Towns can certainly develop a mid-range and deep game, which would open up so much in his own game, let alone the team offensively. Flip, do you see how good he is at hitting the mid-range shot?! How could you possibly pass that up?!
I'm always wary of workout tapes that feature shooting. Just get into a rhythm and guys can really start to drain shots. No defense, just rhythm. They also clearly edited out his misses. You can count them because they're only counting the makes. And not to nitpick, but Towns' feet don't actually leave the floor on those shots and he doesn't have a very high release point.
THAT SAID . . .
Holy balls, this is pretty impressive stuff for a 7 footer (especially one who can defend!), hitting several shots in a row with range. I'm more and more confident that Towns could stretch the floor a bit. He didn't do it at Kentucky, but this video is evidence that I think he could do it. He doesn't look as comfortable with his jumper as Cousins did coming out (I wanted Cousins so bad), but that's definitely some impressive stuff.
I've been pretty torn between Okafor and Towns for awhile, though I've definitely been leaning more and more toward Towns lately, and this video is only pushing me further.

You mean like another stretch four we know? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdWyRTnZ9Qo
The problem though is Flip would mis-use him in his beloved "pick and drift" long 2 plays. You guys know what I'm talking about since he did it with every PF we had in the lineup last season. It starts with a half-hearted screen set by the 4, who then drifts out to 20 feet, where upon he gets the ball back from the PG. If he's not closely covered, he takes the worst shot in basketball - a long 2.
We don't want Karl Towns taking long 2s. We want him either rolling hard to the hoop or stepping back decisively behind the arc - nothing in between. And while KAT may not immediately be a great 3-point shooter, it's something he can obviously develop with a supportive coach that gives him the green light. Instead, Flip will say he only wants him taking shots they feel "comfortable" with. Ugh.
(by the way, while I know Cousins has range on his shot too, that's one guy that should play more like Okafor on offense. He is truly a gifted post player and can get almost anything he wants down there, but too often he settles for long 2-pointers).
