I wouldn't mind McHale if Flip wasn't in the FO. I think McHale would be a huge boost to re-signing Love though. The Kevins got on famously when he was running things here.

McHale said he didn't want to travel if he were the coach! What a crock since he's in Houston coaching and travelling with the team! Bunch of BS!

I didn't want to see McHale go. He would be an improvement over Adelman, but I really think we can do better. SVG, Hoiberg, and Hollins are my top 3.

I saw this posted on KFAN -

Pretty good article that gives a good look into Hollins' mindset.

We need to up the manliness on our team. I like Hollins from this interview.

A couple of tidbits thus far:

Marc J. Spears ?@SpearsNBAYahoo 1h
Former NBA coach Stan Van Gundy will not have interest in Timberwolves coach opening, according to a source.

Andy Katz ?@ESPNAndyKatz 2h
Izzo nixes NBA, says he'll return to Spartans on our podcast today: http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/10861483/tom-izzo-says-coach-michigan-state-spartans-next-season ... via @espncbb

And I think we've seen a quote from Fred that he is happy in Ames. George Karl says he has not been contacted, yet. Maybe Lip is right, Flip will drag his feet until he is the only one left standing!

George Karl also said he'd be interested in the job.

Hey guys, what do you all think of Shaka Smart?

Like is passion and energy but I don't know enough about him as a coach. He's had success with a gimmicky system that won't work in the NBA. If that's how he runs his teams I don't want him. If he's used that system to fit his players strengths because he doesn't get the highest rated recruits I'd think differently. He has been able to make the team great than the sum of it's parts which is impressive.

I am guessing Doogie was adding some sarcasm, but here's a tweet from this morning...

Darren Wolfson ?@DarrenWolfson 13m
No. Izzo has to say no first. RT @twolvesfan @DarrenWolfson Heard any new names mentioned as #Twolves candidates in the last couple of days?

I want a coach that isn't worried about Love staying. Someone that thinks they will make it so he doesn't want to leave. I am still hoping for Hollins or Hoiberg.
