I really liked how well Hamilton moved on the floor. I think he runs the floor twice as fast Dieng!

I had great seats Saturday night and KG was flying around the court on defense...didn't see any evidence of a "knee" Well, at least we have Harrison so Flip doesn't have to burn out Pek, Gorgui and AP like he did last time KG sat out.
CP3 might be out tonight too...game time decision.
I called it. (Sitting road games)
Garnett's arrival has a lot more to do with (1) his long-term plan for ownership. (2) Distract fans from yet another 60-loss season.

Anybody hear Jim Pete hop on Draymond Green's dick early in the game? Defensive Player of The Year? Really Jim, Jimbo, Jimmy? Also said the Warriors are at their best when Green plays the 5 for them. Sorry, Wolves fans, but Jim Pete sounded like a clueless idiot during that whole period.

Why not? I said he'd be polarizing player like McCants. And a tease like McCants.
I didn't say he played like McCants... except for doing something great and then following it up with something dumb.
Furthermore, he's a 1st round draft pick. I hope we're not pointing out every time he makes an assist. I think the one thing that's most noticeable to me about him is that he lacks nuance or craftiness to his game. Savvy. And I'm not talking about the kind of thing where you can use being a rookie as the only excuse for it. Or playing out of position. If you can play... you can play.
He can run fast and dribble fast but what about the more subtle moves that get a guy open? I don't see enough of it in LaVine to think he'll suddenly get that part of the game. So that leaves me to think he's one of those more loping, straight ahead and up athletes that's simply easier to defend than the fast guys who also have other gears.
Not saying he's going to be a bust. Only that I think it will limit his ceiling a lot more than many others around here think.

Camden you do know that Green is like 2nd or 3rd for DPOY behind Jordan and Davis right? And that the Curry/Thompson/Barnes/Iggy/Green lineup is basically shattering all statistical records (on both offense and defense) per 100 possessions?
Also....really tough to read this thread and see people complaining about KG. If you didn't know what we were getting when we brought him in, then you don't want enough basketball (entire league vs. just this team). It's cool that we have sold out 3 of 5 home games since acquiring him, but that just supports that it was a PR/Business decision and not a strategic basketball operations decision.
Again, if only our GM and Coach could get together in the same room and focus on the long-term issues of this team.

I disagree there, Zach Lowe and some other NBA anaylists are saying if the season ended today they would give Draymond the DPOY award

That part may be true. Draymond Green has been fantastic on defense. He's super versatile and still posts the "numbers" to be recognized.
I thought he took offense to the "5" comment. All we were told previously is that Andrew Bogut was a beast defensively and the key to what the Warriors can do. Granted, the stats may not support it fully... but is there noise in those numbers?
For example, Green is not able to play the 5 against certain guys. He's great, but simply not big enough. So, those 100 possessions, are they slightly cherry picked because Kerr uses that lineup to blitz teams that don't have a dominant big? How often are the Warriors playing him at the 5? I don't know... just asking.

Not very often. According Basketball Reference Green, Iggy, Barnes, Curry and Thompson five-man combination has played together 86 minutes and that was the only five-man combination with Green as center in list of ten most minutes played five-man combinations that have featured Draymond Green.
Golden State Defense is still much better defensive team with Bogut than without him. Their Drtg is 96.3 with Bogut and 102.9 without him. Drtg with Green is good but not as good as with Bogut but it drops more when he is off court. Drtg with Green is 98.1 and without him 105.2. I still think that drop when they are playing without Green is mainly because most probably they are then also playing without Bogut. Bogut has played 1110 minutes so far and 938 of those minutes he has played with Green. So when Green is off court (973 minutes so far) Bogut has played only 172 of those minutes. That leaves 801 minutes that Golden State has played with Lee, Speights and Ezeli as their bigs and none of them is even average in defense. No wonder that Golden State has so big drop off in Drtg when Green rests.
