Tyus looked solid, made some clever plays. Dunn had some good, some bad plays, often right near each other and usually exciting. Payne actually looked kind of winded to me the first game and lumbering tonight. I think he and Dunn have fought over 3 rebounds at this point.

Too bad.

Tyus is a good steward of the ball - he makes solid, safe decisions for the most part and can be clever too. But he did not look good defensively. He just doesn't have good lateral foot speed nor the size to make up for it.
Cody Clarke once again went virtually unnoticed. My dreams of him somehow making the squad as a cheap small-ball 4-man seem to have been just that....dreams.
I liked Dunn over Murray and Hield in the draft because he has the ability to "do shit" - typically stuff that translates to the NBA. And boy, he did a lot of stuff today, both good and bad. But I love the rebounds, gritty plays around the basket, and his overall aggressiveness.

Who was going to guard Young? Tyus wasn't going to be Guarding Powell on that last possession. Actually in that last play Tyus recovered a lot better Than I thought in real time. He forced Young into a shot that at the very least wasn't the layup I thought he was going to get. There were a few times my guess is Tyus forced a guy one way got no help and looked bad doing it. I'm not suggesting. He is good on that end but I do t know how bad either. We also do t k le how good Young is because as the Raps GM said they drafted him to be the backup PG last year but ten they were able to get Joseph.

Yeah Q Clarke hasn't done much. Murray has been the non roster guy that's been the most worthy of being mentioned but I have no interest in him being signed. If Payne was just some dude from the D league we might be talking about how bad he was and the crazy effort he puts in but I just don't see anything else there even though a little of me still tries.

I saw some stat on the NBA.com site when I was looking at something else about points or value from a screen and Adlrich was like top 5. He certainly would be better than what Dunn is working with right now aside from Tyus.
