Nice night in the NBA for the Wolves. Both the Kings and Denver lose to Eastern Conference teams.

The NBA came out and fined DeMarcus Cousins and assessed a technical foul for that clownshow near the end of the Sac/MN game on Saturday when he ran up the stands, threw his mouthpiece and threw a fit.
I remember thinking "he can't do that"... but just figured it was because he was already out of the game that it went unpunished.
Apparently, he should have received an in-game technical? Might have changed a bit near the end, right?
[Note: In typical Cousins fashion, his foot was in the restricted circle. It was a good call.]

Thanks for the info, Abe. I hadn't seen that bit of news. Yes, it definitely might have changed the outcome if the call had been made. Cousins is such an amazing talent. But I suspect his issues between the ears will ultimately stop him from being the superstar he's fully capable of becoming.

Sixers trade Jerami Grant to OKC for Illyasova and a conditional first round pick that looks unlikely to be conveyed. Seems like a good deal for both teams. Sixers get a vet stretch 4 and OKC gets a versatile defender that's also cheap.

Illyasova is getting shopped quite a bit. That might be pretty telling.
And OKC is basically saying "Fuck spacing. Our team is on the floor."

Illyasova is one of those guys that gets moved because he is a guy that can play but also is a contract that's makes it easy to move him. He is just good enough to want but not good enough to keep if that makes sense.

Sure. Think Michael Beasley. Or Shabazz Muhammad.

No I don't think that's fair to Illyasova.
Edit
Also look at that roster for OKC they just added another guy under 25 in Grant. They just keep adding young players to that roster and looking to stay competitive. I also believe Sabonis has had early success shooting the 3 both in preseason and in a couple games for whatever that's worth.

His hissy-fit after being called for the foul on the KAT leg-pull was also ridiculously off base. The dude is a whiny b*tch.
All these guys complain a lot, but he takes the cake when it comes to the "I'm always the victim" mentality. Sure, everyone is out to get you DeMarcus......

I'm not sure if I've ever seen a DMC game where he didn't act like an idiot. Seriously. Every time I watch him he does something that just makes you wonder what the hell is the matter with him.
