Cool, I think you mistakenly gave Phenom an extra .51. I think he meant adding 1 to Tim's 50 for a total of 51, but who's counting. :thumb:

You're right, I thought he was just being eccentric. LOL

Hate to ruin the averages and median, but I'll go on record saying 41 wins. Yes, one win better than last year. I think our bench unit is going to be a big time weapon, especially if Martin comes off the bench (I don't expect him to).

I saw someone say that our 1-5 isn't strong enough to get wins... I'd argue that last year our 1-5 was as strong as anyone's on a nightly basis, but it was 6-10 that kept us from winning. How many leads did our bench give away? This year I can see our bench extending leads or clawing the team back in the game. Last year that was a huge weakness. This year it will be a big strength.

I believe our team defense will be improved due to the positional upgrades in Young, Wiggins, Williams and Bennett. Flip is also going to have a bigger, better effect on the Wolves than Adelman did. The corner offense took the ball out of Ricky's hands way too often. Flip's system ensures that Ricky will control most of the offense.

Camden - 41 wins. I want to say more, but I'll predict the slight improvement.

Cam, I don't think you can get in now that we are part way into the season!

Another many people fail to realize is we never had a rotation of Pek and Dieng before. Dieng didn't start getting regular minutes until Pek went down.

I think I'd be happy with 30 wins, 25 is more realistic. If for no other reason that the west is so much more talented with veteran guys leading the way. This team is learning on the fly withe no real winning cultured guys to guide them.

I just spent the last 5 minutes reading this thread from last year's pre-season...very entertaining! Many of the regular posters weighed in on a wins prediction, and the average was 36 wins. Well, we sure blew that one! In all fairness, nobody knew that Rubio, Pek, Shabazz, Martin and most of our PF's would miss most of the season.

I note that a lot of smart guys predicted 36 wins a year ago, and I add in a lot of positive factors we have added in a year (most prominently, our young guys have a year more experience), and I'm even more comfortable with the 40 wins minimum I'm predicting for next year.

BTW, special recognition has to go to abe and Brandon Basshole for their prescience in this thread. Abe predicted 20 wins, but also dared to throw 15 out there! But Basshole correctly predicted that we would win the lottery, well before Cool made his guarantee!
