This may not be as devastating as people think. Warriors cockiness got the best of them in the playoffs and it figures to only skyrocket now. Durant has a tendency to get trapped into hero ball and his alpha mentality can still take precedence on this team. Curry is looking a little frail as well. They will be limited in other roster moves and eventually that will be a factor. Plus our Wolves will be nipping at their heels very soon. :d

Golden State may have jumped the shark with this move. I think the majority of folks outside of the Bay area will be rooting against them. If they don't win a title, it will be considered an abject failure. On paper, this is one of the greatest teams ever assembled. Hell, you could stick LST at Center and they'd win 60 in their sleep.

Hard to believe, but Curry may become the 3rd option on this team and play more of a facilitator role. You are right that he was a little overwhelmed at times against OKC and Cleveland. He struggled against big, athletic defenders and the more physical play allowed in the WCF and Finals. Now he has Durant....Just sick.

I've always thought Durant biggest weakness is he doesnt have the alpha mentality . Westbrook definitely had it,.

I actually see this as a good thing for the Wolves (only better option would have been him going to the East), because 1) it weakens OKC, 2) how does a 73 win team that had that much chemistry get any better chemistry? Even though Golden State took away an opponent's best player and made their path to the finals easier, this may make them a stronger playoff team, but I don't think it makes them a stronger regular season team. Taking away extra 3 point shots from Klay/Steph may diversify their offense, but doesn't necessarily make it more potent. I'm interested to see how that chemistry works, or doesn't. Either way, the Warriors will be the easy frontrunner this year. Spurs = old, OKC = plundered, Clippers just aren't quite good enough even when they are healthy, and Golden State is probably a better team overall than Cleveland even without Durant, side a bad string of games.

- Durant gave Seattle/OKC 9 years. It's not like he abandoned ship or demanded to be traded after 4 or 5 years. There is a reason it's called free agency. These players are free to choose.

- Golden State now has three of the most lethal shooters in the history of the game. The Green-Iggy-Durant-Klay-Curry lineup is the new lineup of death.

- You are talking about the greatest regular season team in history going from Harrison Barnes to Kevin Durant at SF. Unreal!

- All of that being said, I now dislike Golden State, their swarmy fans, and arrogant ownership even more. I hope they go down in flames!!!

I'm disappointed in him deciding to leave, but way more so with his destination. The Superteam era continues. I previously liked the Warriors because like OKC they built their team through young assets including draft picks.

Understood, I totally understand why folks like the Warriors. They lost me last season with Draymond Green's antics and Joe Lacob's arrogant "Silicon Valley is smarter than everyone else" persona.

This is basketball people. Get over it and stop attacking athletes. That's worse for the game than Durant going to OKC.

An NBA player disagrees with you... :)

Yeah, so what? Even Smith is saying KD will be killed for this. So why are you bitching?

Because you guys are calling him a coward for making a decision that took a lot of courage to make which happens to be the opposite of a coward. You're all butt-hurt just because a great player joined an already great team. Get over it and stop being whiny bitches with your doom apocalypse for the league predictions.

he's a coward in the basketball sense not in real life, I don't get why this is so hard for you to follow. Instead you're telling us we're overreacting while you're now throwing insults at us and doing it yourself, chill out lol

I also see this as good for the Wolves, hockey. Our goals the next couples seasons are not to win a championship, but to make the playoffs and then got a 4 seed or better. The Warriors were going to be a top 4 team for awhile with or without Durant, but this gets OkC out of our way. And who knows who will be left in Oakland when our young guys are ready to challenge? They won't be able to keep all four of Curry, Klay, Green and KD, and personalities may clash too. I see nothing negative in here for the Wolves.

Courage is a pretty strong word to use for a guy about to make 27 million on a ready made championship caliber team.

The guy has 29 NBA fan bases going after him in the second most popular sport in the US. He's gonna get ridiculed by experts worse than Lebron did with the decision because he just joined the team he lost to in the WCF. That's a lot of hate to deal with when you just play basketball for a living.
