The #Twolves kick off their preseason exactly one month from today. Who's ready?! #EyesOnTheRise
Strangely enough, the long wait to see Love traded helped move the offseason along. I'm so pumped for a New Wolves Order.

Its easy to get excited! For one thing over half the team is young players worth being excited for. Heck Bud turned 26 less than 4 months ago and even Brewer and Pek are an old seeming 28. Its hard to say what guy 26 years old and younger I am most excited about. Right now for some reason I'm really pumped about Thad Young. I can wait for the season to start since the NFL just began but I'll be excited to see the Wolves get rolling to. I'm wearing Wolves stuff right now actually! Lol

It should be a fun year. Last year had to be the hardest year we have endured for a long time. I think Adelman sucked the joy out of the team last year.

As the OP in this thread, I have appointed myself judge and jury here...sort of an opTIMism czar, if you will...and your post is clearly NOT negative. Or at least not pessimistic. Being negative about last year is actually opTIMistic, because your underlying thought is that not having Adelman as coach this year will be more fun, and therefore more successful. Very opTIMistic take!

Good. I was worried. It seemed borderline. I really like what Flip did this offseason. It should be a fun team to watch even if we don't win as many games. The future here looks bright. Where did I put my shades?

"even if we don't win as many games"?????? Really, bleed?!? You had to put that in there?
I am VERY opTIMistic we will surpass last years win total.

Exactly, why wouldn't we? If you look at the Carmelo trade (Denver also gave up billups), Wolves got a much better return and Denver won more games without him the next year and was a top 3 team in the West the year after.

I expected us to win 50 last year and it sucked not. This year I have have lower expectations. i think we will exceed them. I am looking forward to a young up and coming team.

Nice save! :)
Bb-refs "expected wins" for the Wolves was 48 - not far off your 50 expectation. We can hand out lots of blame for falling 8 games short of the "expected wins": coaching, putrid bench, lack of a crunch-time go-to guy. So maybe we lose 20 more games without Love. But we have lots of "win X more games" factors: a MUCH deeper bench, Young earning back some of those games lost with Love's departure, Flip in place of Adelman, an improved defense (with addition of two-way players and Flip's defensive schemes), the growth of Shabazz and/or Dieng, and the addition of the most highly touted #1 pick since LeBron James.
The biggest unanswered question is do we have a crunch-time go-to guy? We'll have to wait and see, but it couldn't be any worse than last year considering how many close games we lost. Love was not able to do it.
