Q, Everyone has the right to their own opinions, but the top draft pick in one of the best drafts ever is certainly a nice return if you ask me. It would provide great hope and energy for the franchise. I'd take my chances with him becoming star.

I wouldn't be distraught if we ended up with Wiggins; I agree it would be exciting. I'm just saying I'm not locked in on him as the only and best available trade alternative. I'm hoping other suitors, including Chicago, step up and drive up the price for Love.

I don't get the Love for McDermott. He is a tweener who won't be able to guard anybody in this league. He'll score, but do you guys really see him as more than an 18 PPG scorer? If you can't play D, that kind of production is only valuable off the bench or with defensive studs protecting him which Gibson alone couldn't cover. He works in Chicago because of the Noah/Gibson combo protecting him, but Gibson alone won't cut it. He's not that good and greatly benefits from having Noah next to him defensively. If you don't like Martin, I don't get how you could like McDermott. They are gonna be the same type of player and everyone seems to be complaining about Martin.

Let us know if Wiggins hits the floor. That is really telling if you ask me.

McDermott does very little for me. Not the two way player Flip is looking for.

Yeah, u dont trade a top five talent for just quality players cuz u like their conctracts. Thats a very last resort. Especially when a number one pick is staring u in the face. (Which literally never happens)
Lets put it this way, what regret would the Wolves rather live with? Passing on Wiggings and he becomes a superstar or taking him and all he becomes is a quality player with a good contract. I myself could live with the fact that they took a shot and it didnt pan out.

The Grey---Sure seems like Cleveland is posturing so that they end up giving as little as possible. Probably Wiggins, Bennett & filler.

So F Cleveland and GS, who is also posturing. That leaves Denver, Boston, Phoenix, Chicago (poor Houston is getting F'd good by Cuban). We could trade with Boston for players and picks. The Phoenix trade would involve a player who says he wants a max (as would Thompson). Maybe Boston or Chicago will end up being the best for us in the long run.

Also, Wiggins may end up with a Rudy Gay ceiling. Not bad, not great. So I hope Flip is looking at everything.

Rudy Gay? Hmm. Isnt he considered a shooter with no conscience? One of Wiggins knocks is hes a bit to passive at times. Wiggins is a plus plus defender, Rudy??
