I've been advocating for a rotation role for Clark right away. Rob hasn't looked ready at either end of the court (although I still like the pick and his ceiling) and Clark at least is ready to play NBA defense. But his performance last night was not very encouraging, His 13 minutes on the court with Edwards and Hafi essentially knocked us out of Summer League contention...he and Hafi were each a team-worst -15, and Edwards was not much better at -14. Clark needs to show some modicum of offense to earn a rotation role, and he didn't last night...0 for 3 shooting and no rebounds or assists in his 13 minutes. Very disappointing.
FNG, I generally agree with you but sometimes you get me to shake my head. It puzzles me that you want Clark to be a rotation player. I won't quite write him off, but my expectations are real low for him. Other than one good game where he was very disruptive, he doesn't look like an NBA player and his outside shot is really bad. I'm ok with him being a two way player, but all I see is a steals specialist who has not much else going on. And Miller, who is a couple years younger than Miller, but despite what he's done, you don't see him as an NBA player? I think Miller actually has more steals in SL than Clark but he has been filling up the stats across the board, with his only shortcoming is that his three point shot hasn't been falling at a high clip, but he's shot the three well in G League (above 35%) and in regular season too (a whopping 40%, yeah i know its a small sample size of 5 shots). Hope you come around on Lenny and you pump the brakes a bit on Clark.
