Ant is tough. I am hoping he isnt unnecessarily rushing this. I am pumped for this series.
Wolves fan commiserate here!

The only positive I see about Ant's situation is that the hyper extension was on the other knee. So more time for further healing for the knee that was bothering him during the year. But overall, yes it is probably prudent to have lower expectations for his contributions. I dont think the Spurs guard him 1 on 1 even if he is hurt so he is still giving us an edge just by being out there if he can play within himself.AbeVigodaLive wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2026 12:16 pm I think we see Ant before Ayo in this series.
Ayo has the calf thing, right? And aren't we following more calf injuries = achilles injuries in recent years? And isn't he looking at a generational big money contract in just a couple of months (if he's not injured)?
Obviously, I don't know anything really about his injury. But if there's any doubt, I can't imagine Ayo is willing to take that sort of risk right now.
[Note: I also don't think we should expect much from Edwards. He looked off vs. Denver. Can't imagine him sitting out even more, getting more injured, only to come out lights out vs. a better team.]
Can he give us 15 minutes? That would help a ton.thedoper wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2026 12:36 pmThe only positive I see about Ant's situation is that the hyper extension was on the other knee. Yeah, Jon K just posted also. Assuming Ayo is out, does Ant start next to Mike?
Yes. I think Conley is a staple in the starting lineup for now.
Yeah, pretty nuts that he's playing. But as FNG mentioned, his shot was off in the last series and I find it hard to believe that suddenly all the rust he showed is off. Knowing Ant, he will try to shoot his way back into a rythym, but that could be a very bumpy process.AbeVigodaLive wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2026 2:33 pmYes. And I think TJ Shannon plays the Ant v2.0 role off the bench. (hopefully the spurs forget he's left handed at first or something...lol)

Most of us have discussed some sort of affinity for the Wolves ethical style of play (compared to other players/teams). And we've discussed how the Wolves key guys seem to have fewer rest days than other big name guys. But Anthony Edwards is sort of becoming a bad ass with injuries. Multiple times, he's come back into a game earlier or returned earlier from an injury. I dig it. It's almost becoming part of his mystique. The caveat is what this means when he's 29 or 32 or 35. But as fans, we live more in the here and now... and damn it... I sort of love it.
I guess I am the exception then. I don't want Ant coming back unless he is 100%. I don't see a path to a title without him full healthy.AbeVigodaLive wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2026 2:33 pmYes. I think Conley is a staple in the starting lineup for now.
