I watched the game on Prime. Funny how I have never been that interested in following the Lynx, but then Olivia Miles comes along. It goes to show that players with certain star power and sparkle can draw so-called "casuals" like myself into following a team.kekgeek wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2026 10:17 pm Lynx win an amazing game against the Valkyrie. Olivia Miles came into today a 2/18 3 pt shooter. The Valkyrie went under and dared her to shoot, she went nuts shooting 8/10 from 3
Courtney did Courtney things down the stretch. Just beat by record second best team in the W. Oh ya the second best player in the W and a euro league mvp are closed to returning
And just 1 turnover and a +14! If she can shoot anything close to this consistently, she has a very high ceiling.
Think this was the first time all year I thought she really struggled defending dribble penetration all year, she did have a couple nice strips but don’t know if that is repeatable.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2026 7:48 amI watched the game on Prime. She leaves a bit to be desired on defense, but even there she gets her fair share of deflections.
Side note: The sideline reporter with the thick English accent threw me off.....just sounded totally out of place.
I've been saying for a few years I should really be following the Lynx. They are a good team, play team ball, play defense win games and have likeable players basically everything. This year felt extra compelling because they lost so much of their team from last year and I was like how is Reeve gonna pull it out this time. So I decided I was gonna follow them and well I've been watching Reeve do her thing one extended highlight package at a time. It's really impressive. Miles is definitely a driver of some of the success and around the time of the draft once I learned more about her as a playmaker I thought she probably made the most sense compared to the various bigs they could have taken. Then they found players to fill those spots anyways.kekgeek wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2026 10:29 amThink this was the first time all year I thought she really struggled defending dribble penetration all year, she did have a couple nice strips but don’t know if that is repeatable.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2026 7:48 amI watched the game on Prime. I’m with you on the broadcast. I can’t understand the sideline reporter and I thought the 2 man crew was bad yesterday. Such a contrast to the Fever/Dream game that had Michael Grady calling the game.
Kosu has been really good lately in her role. Just got extended first half run in this Seattle game. (Lynx not playing to their standard). WNBA is so interesting though because unlike the nba you can’t just stash young prospects like you can in the nba. Like for example if Beringer wasn’t in the rotation next year he would get cut in the WNBA due to roster size.Monster wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2026 1:11 pmI've been saying for a few years I should really be following the Lynx. Kek I'm curious about your take but it seems like Kosu is finding a bit of a groove as a solid rotation player. I think it was this game she had a nice drive with a creative finish. They are kinda forced to player her with injuries etc but it looks like watching the highlights and the box score she is doing some good things the last couple games.
