Naz being yanked out of games for not meeting the team's standards. Yeesh.
Wow. Gutsy move by the head coach - this almost NEVER happens in today's NBA to a starter. He had 7 points and 6 boards in 13 minutes, but didn't watch to see if it was his defense or body language or something that happened at halftime????
Julius Randle must sure be glad he doesn't have to play for Charles Lee and his high standards!

Those of us who admired Micah Nori as a coach and enjoyed his sense of humor have to be loving his 3-0 start in Portland. They are leading the Association in points per game and have the biggest point differential. I think the key is he may have found the secret to controlling and unlocking Ja Morant. I had written Ja off despite his enormous talent, but he's off to a terrific start. He's playing a true PG with 6.2 APG and only 1.2 TOs, and is focusing more on feeding Avdija, Lillard and Camara than scoring...he's tied for 3rd om the team in PPG.
It has to be comforting for a coach to have Holiday and Henderson as guards coming off the bench, and they are the only team with a better rebounding margin than our Timberwolves. It's obviously early, but it's a fun story.

Good for Micah. I haven't watched them at all, but I do question the durability of a Dame/Ja starting backcourt in terms of sustained defense and staying healthy. Let's just call this the honeymoon phase for now. I'd be surprised if they are still in the top 4 or 5 teams in the West a month or so from now, but I could be underestimating them!

Yeah, I was actually surprised Micah isn't starting Holiday, but he knows he can turn to him if the starting backcourt struggles defensively. And I'll also be surprised if they are in the top 4 or 5 in a month. But tonight will be fun as undefeated Portland hosts also undefeated (!) Memphis...the team that gave up on Ja!

I see some Charlotte fans on their reddit are questioning if he even wants to be on their team.

For real? That's kind of a lame move on his part if true. You don't have that level of of pull to force a trade Naz! just not that level of star power
