Things should start to be sorted out this week. Who wants Cousins?
Re: Vikings 2018 Offseason
Sounds like Keenum will sign with the Broncos. I'm curious to see what the contract numbers will be.

I saw that. Happy for Keenum. Not worried about the Vikings.

I'm not worried about the Vikings either. With Denver out of the picture it seems like Cousins to MN seems likely.
I'm happy for Case but I have to admit I'm also sad he is leaving. After seeing the video of his comments after the Rockets game I knew he was gone.
Re: Vikings 2018 Offseason
It's starting to sound like the Cousins deal is pretty much done. The reporting is 3 years 84 million. I'd be happy with less but that doesn't seem too bad. It sounds like that's 10 million or so more than Keenum. I think that gap it makes sense.

That is a fair deal for Cousins I like it. That leaves some money for a backup.
Re: Vikings 2018 Offseason
Is Cousins good? I am confused by all the fanfare and the price. He's played barely 500 ball with the Redskins. I'm not sure this was the answer we were hoping for. Do we draft a QB now?

Cousins is a legit NFL starting QB. The defense he had was terrible and at times the offense around him wasn't exactly good either. You could pay Keenum an hope he puts up Cousins numbers or pay Cousins to put up Cousins numbers (or possibly better) on a good team. You gotta pay someone a chunk of money to play QB unless you draft a guy. Meanwhile the reports are the Cards are paying Bradford 20 million this year.
As for the draft of someone drops and it's a no-brainer then maybe. Sloter isn't a chump of a developmental guy so my guess is theybwill sign a vet QB and use their draft picks (they have fewer this year) for other holes.
Re: Vikings 2018 Offseason
I believe cousins is one of 4 or 5 players in NFL history to amass at least 4,000 yards and 20+ TDs in 3 consecutive seasons. All with a supporting cast worse than what the Vikings will provide him. Last season he played with an online that was severely banged up, and starting new blockers seemingly every week, a running back squad that played 8 different backs due to injuries, a wr group that was nonexistent due to injuries or non performers like Pryor and doctson, and without star TE reed for all but I believe 3 games - yet he still achieved those numbers.
He also has started every game over those three years.
This is a great signing for where this team is at. We have very little holes to fill now. And we still have 30ish mil in cap to add depth and extend our own young talent. and the draft to add ol and DL talent and overall depth everywhere else.
The other good news some are overlooking is that we are letting 3 quarterbacks go that will be signed to be starters elsewhere. This will result in likely 2 3rd to 5th round comp picks next year (Kirk will cancel one out).

I was really just asking to have someone give me the sales pitch. Your response is rational I just am worried that he's statistically good and still unproven. I guess we will find out.
