I don't feel very comfortable with Tonkin in this situation, but man did he have movement on his strikeout fastball to Garcia! Started out a strike, then it almost hit him.

Almost Deduno-like with the late movement...did it again against Nieto and got him to roll it over.

Glad Florimon's "erra" (as Hawk Harrelson says) and Tonkin's poor baserunning awareness didn't give up the game.

I think his bilateral leg weakness kicks in when he has to play in the field on back to back days. He certainly isn't getting worn out on the base paths this year...the only time he has touched first base is on defense!

The reason I'm excited about Hughes this year is that he's out of that bandbox Yankee stadium. I'm pretty sure he won't be giving up many HRs this year.
