Of all the deals that have been discussed here, this is the first one I could get behind. Harden needs the ball in his hands, so Ant would have to learn to play off ball...could make him even better though if he adjusted. And yeah, it could be very good for Rudy. You wonder why Harden would want to leave his home town, especially since the Clippers were the hottest team in the league before last night's loss (with him out for personal reasons). Just an odd duck I guess. I also don't think the Clips would want Julius in trade...gotta believe they would take the oft-injured Garland before Ju. The Cavs are hot too, and I think they become the favorites in the East if this trade happens (ah, maybe that's why Harden wants out).Q-is-here wrote: ↑Tue Feb 03, 2026 8:43 amHeh, I figured they'd jump in the action here! That's why I didn't update Harden's status on my latest Guard post with the Garland rumours swirling. The fat lady hasn't sung yet!
(Harden is a tough one to root for, but no doubt brings a skill-set that would help immensely on offense. He will actually find Rudy when he's wide open and can put the ball in a place that Rudy can catch).

If you can figure out a way to get Voshon Leonard or John Thomas into that deal, I'm all in.

We would need a training camp after a deal like that.Mnwild1128 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 03, 2026 2:26 pm Theory mock trade:

Vucevic to Boston for Simons. Another guard for Chicago!
Re: Trade season
Shams: Just in: Chicago, Minnesota and Detroit have agreed to a multi-team deal that sends Jaden Ivey and Mike Conley Jr. to the Bulls and Kevin Huerter and Dario Saric to the Pistons, sources tell ESPN. Detroit also receives a 2026 first-round protected swap from Minnesota.
According to Mark Stein: Milwaukee wants to do Giannis a favor by trading him to a team he desires to join, and the only teams on his list are Minnesota and Miami, per @TheSteinLine
From Dane:
More to come on the trade front for the Wolves. But some financial notes...
- This move increases the Wolves space beneath the 2nd apron from $3.5M to $14M
- More importantly: They are now beneath the 1st apron by $3.5M, which removes some obstacles in trades, especially with apron teams
My reaction: Sure looks like Giannis is going to end up in a Timberwolves uniform by the trade deadline. In less than 12 hours I’ve gone from no way we’re going to trade for Giannis to I’m pretty sure we will.
. Stay tuned!

Regardless, we sure as hell are doing something of substance, whether it's Giannis or something else.
Re: Trade season
This is nuts! WTF is Chicago doing!?!
Tre Jones
Jaden Ivey
Simons
Ayo
Giddy
Coby
Conley
You know who else needs guards? Houston. Wouldn't be surprised to see one of these guys end up there.
Re: Trade season
This is crazy. I never would have believed someone telling me at the beginning of the year we would be in the running for Giannis. I am very curious to see who we lose to do it. Ant an Giannis are such an interesting pairing. My personal take is Rudy would be expendable getting Giannis, but having Rudy for a bit would be insane in some of the D we could run.
